Shari – my mother (age 85) just

went to a vascular surgeon because she’ll be having a total knee

replacement soon, and they had to check her circulation in her leg to make sure

it was sufficient for healing after surgery. She has sluggish circulation, and the surgeon

told her to just exercise – very simple – when you’re

sitting, or laying, all you do is pump your feet up

and down. He said that gets the blood

flowing. Maybe you need more than just

that, but it’s a start at least.

What,

if anything, would anyone recommend as something to improve the circulation in

my legs. Of

course she wanted to sell me compression hoisery. That is not something I would relish with my

lifestyle.

Any

help would be appreciated.

Shari
