Guest guest
Hello Gallstone suffers, I've been here reading for about 15 months now. I came down with gallstone in December of 2000. I purchased and ate about 1 kilo of cooked shrimp and a bottle of wine. Early that next morning I woke up with the worst pain I have ever felt. So I went to the emergency room and laid on the table moaning for hours until they discovered through imaging that I had Gall stones. So they released me later the next day saying I would need an operation. Well, I didn't want to hear that so I decide to modify my diet. For the next two months things were fine. I left all seafood alone and anything else that had a lot of cholesterol in it. Then in February 2001, I went and purchased some Kentucky fried chicken. I ate about six or seven pieces of that and BAM! I was back in the emergency room moaning and groaning. So after that experience , I watched even more carefully until last Thursday when I went and purchased 1.5 pounds of cooked shrimp. I thought well if Ionly ate a dozen instead of a hundred I should be ok. Well not so later that evening around 1800, the pain started. This time I have not gone to the hospital as the pain is about a five on a scale of ten. It is still very uncomfortable. I sat here watching Tennis and made a huge bowl of spinach, lettuce, carrots, green peepers, radishes, onion, broccoli, cauliflower,Egg whites, and other stuff. Then just before I took the first bites something told me to call the hospital to see if it would be OK toeat all that while my bladder is inflamed. To my horror, they said definitely not to eat that; as it would make things worse. So I'm very happy that I decided to call first. So now I'm asking the list what food are ok to eat while I am having the pain and a few days afterwards?
