I think I'd be better off reading it offline so images don't come through...just thought of that, thanks for getting my brain working! claudia L. Guest guest
This was in my monthly newsletter from snopes.com. I thought it might be helpful, in case any of you are suddenly fetting spammed. I changed mine right away, and have not had anything flooding my inbox. Debra MORE IMPORTANT NEWS, BUT NOT NEARLY AS NICE -- On Thursday, March 28, set everyone's account to the " Have your advertisers send me mail " option no matter what folks had previously elected as their preference. Because this has gone from an opt-in service to an opt-out one, if you've no desire to surrender your inbox to a deluge of mail (ie. spam) from 's advertisers, you have to tell them that you don't want this mail -- if you don't say anything, they will just send it. hosts this mailing list, which means your e-mail address is in its database and your membership defaults have been reset in this fashion, so this affects YOU. Here's how to get yourself back to a non--spammed state. Please note you're the only one who can make this change; list moderators don't have access to your account, so they can't reset this for you. Go to (http://) and sign in. Go to My Groups and click on Account Info, verify your password if it asks you to, which will bring up your ID card. Click on 'Edit Your Marketing Preferences' and change all those Yes's back to No's. Guest guest
THANKS for this helpful article...I did just what you said, and yes, there was a long list of things you could chose to have advertisements sent to you about, and all said " yes " . You also get an email account with when you join, I think that happens automatically, at least I have one, and I never use it, so put that in the slot that asks what email to send advertisements to...might as well send it right back to them :-)) Now if they would just get rid of these suggestive advertisements on each email leading one to buy a little camera and become a " peeping tom " or use it for other types of voyeurism...I am offended by that as a woman and a moral person. Guest guest
Dear , I don't get advertisements in the daily digest mail setting. It also takes less time to read the posts. Suzanne P.S. Like your site
