I'm heading out the door here to do laundry, but wanted to comment on one thing before I go. This is just a theory (and here's the obligatory disclaimer about not having medical training...), but isn't it possible that what the doctors see in the ultrasound might actually be a clump of smaller stones? I mean, it isn't like the ultrasound is an actual photograph with detail - there's a lot that's left up to the interpretation. So my theory is that maybe when we do these flushes it could be getting out more than we think it is. I know there are cases where this is known to not be the case, as in Barry who has the luxury of inexpensive ultrasounds <grin> and can see that there is still something in there to deal with. But I guess what I'm suggesting is that perhaps your flush, while greatly successful in the way it's described, was even more successful than you think it was. Just a thought. okay, laundry, here I come! rachel~ " Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right " - Henry Ford
Guest guest
> >I just wanted to say that I wish you the best with your flush! >in health, >rachel~ Thanks so much, ! It is 9:30 am and I am feeling tired and a little head-achy, but no nausea anymore. It has been a success so far! Let me fill you in a bit. Drank the Epsoms at 6 & 8 as directed, and what a difference it makes to drink them cold and mixed with Grapefruit Juice! I used to just stir them into luke warm water and drink, this was SOOOO much better. At 10, the olive oil/flax seed oil/fresh grapefruit juice " cocktail " (I used 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup flax seed oil). I lay on my back and side. At about 11, just had to go and cleaned out I guess what was left of the work the Epsoms were doing, but that is pretty tyical for me an hour into the deal. From 11-3 am I had constant waves of nausea, but it never got as bad as I remember having in the past. At 3 am had to " go " again and was amazed to find many, Many, MANY very small light green stones floating and settling around the edge of the water and all throughout the water were what I believe you folks call chaff, tons of little yellow fat globs. I couldn't even begin to count them, but everything was very small, and I was to wiped for pictures...so sorry. But what amazed me was that this happened so early! I used to never see anything until around 10 or 11 in the morning, if at all. I noticed just before olive oil and grapefruit juice my right side was sore under the ribs and my upper right arm sore, that was gone at 3 am and my right side not so tense. Nausea returned from about 3:30 to 6:30, then subsided. Another trip to the toilet at about 5:30 showed more chaf and small green stones, but not near as many as the first go. Just went again at about 9:30 and still more, mixed in with other " stuff " so didn't float to the top. I haven't seen anything yet that I visualize to be the size of what I saw in my ultrasound, maybe later. But I don't know what the scale of the image was, either. I was guestimating the size of a pea or perhaps a ltitle smaller, and maybe about 8-10 of them. I just drank the morning Epsoms. Think I'll just need the one morning dose. I am tired, did not sleep well, but pleased. The true test, of course, will be in how well I can tolerate foods I have been avoiding, and if I am okay, will wait until September to do this again. If not so good, will give it another go in May perhaps. I am also hoping to clear up a skin condition that I have had on my elbows, it's not eczema, but something else, and also sinus pain. Other than tired and a little head ache, I am a little tender in the on spot on the right side under ribs under arm, but not bad. Body feels quite relaxed, and I notice I don't have my typical backache and my left hip isn't hurting. Time will tell whether that is from the flush or the anti-inflammatory properties of the Flax Seed Oil. So to me, this seems to be a success, if I get anything larger later, I'll try to salvage and take pictures. Thanks for your wishes and prayers, I'm not used to telling 800+ people my bathroom habits, but hey, if it will be an encouragement to someone, then there it is!! Loved that Bible verse, Barry, it was very calming to read, and so very true!! God bless everyone this special weekend, as we remember what Jesus did on our behalf today, and Resurrection Sunday!! :-)

I do hope you are right, . I never did a flush having seen an ultrasound before it in the past, and just judged how well it went by how I felt and what my chiropractor told me...so maybe it is best to just see how I feel and not worry about the pictures. Even if there is something left there, getting all that junk out will make a dramatic difference!! Maybe I will be able to eat a cheese omelette on our Anniversary getaway next weekend after all! claudia :-)

(I'd not want to risk being in pain on an anniversary weekend, personally - can think of more enjoyable ways to spend the time <grin>). I'd concur with that idea of paying attention to how you feel rather than being overly concerned with what's in the pictures. After all, haven't we read about how there's such a high percentage of people who have gallstones and only a certain percentage of THOSE who actually have problems with them? So if I was feeling better (which I am) and had a followup ultrasound that showed there was something there, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. In a case like Barry's, of course, that's a different story. His films still show the stone AND he's still having problems. He's just a problem child, that's all there is to it! <grin>. I seem to recall that he wrote somethign recently (I'm still in a blur with all the posts from the past week!) about not being too concerned about getting everything out and 'letting sleeping stones lay " , which makes a lot of sense. It's nice to think about having a totally cleaned gallbladder, but I'm not going to fret if it isn't. Besides, I'll probably never know whether it is or isn't because here at this hospital the cost of an ultrasound is about $700 and the insurance doesn't cover followup ultrasounds because they aren't " medically necessary " . So I'm going to have to rely on my inner sense about this one! So now....inquiring minds want to know - did you have the omelette? in health, rachel~ " Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right " - Henry Ford
Guest guest
Hey, you have to be a bit of a risk-taker to do this flush :-)) Saturday morning I had eggs for breakfast and yesterday I had chinese food for lunch....it had lots of oil...and didn't experience the slightest discomfort or feeling of anything. Things I've notice improve so far are hardly any gas anymore, no pains in the usual placed in my back (two spots especially in spine and my hip, all gone for now anyway), clarity of thinking, whites of my eyes look clearer, but do notice that my sinuses have been draining a lot! I guess they are cleaning out as well. I had lost my sense of smell and (this is an odd on) would smell odors that weren't there, like something burning, etc. Cleaning myself out has stopped that so far as well. I am looking forward to trying a piece of cheese later today, and yes, will definately have that cheese omelette on the weekend. Then have to stop all the celebrating and get back to healthier eating. Thankfully, I have never experienced the pain that you and Barry talk about, just lots of pressure, and some discomfort, mostly nausea. Have a great day! (And by the way, I'm finding the advertisements that is putting into these emails getting worse and worse...don't know how much longer I am going to stay with these lists if this keeps up... I mean really, the camera ad that was on this one was beyond suggestive and disgusting!) L.
