Guest guest
Dear , Hi! I'm and have 2 young children. I had plantar fascitis before falling pregnant with my first child and I was at the end of a flare up. I made sure I had a cortisone injection in my heel so I could continue working and to make sure the extra weight gain of pregnancy would not add to the pain in my foot. It worked for a couple of months. I was in remission from PA by the 3rd or 4th month of pregnancy and until my first born was 13 months old. I had flares of PA for the 2 1/2 years before falling pregnant the second time which took 13 months to do and was in a middle of a flare then. This time the pain and stiffness dulled but didn't go away completely as I'd hoped. I was into a full blown flare within 3 1/2 months of the second baby. I usually find I go into a flare with in a month or two of a stress ie miscarriage, job loss, etc. So I'll cross my fingers you are pregnant fast to avoid a rebound or withdrawal flare up. It's hard going but I would have pursued my 2 beautiful babies through a thousand painful and unmedicated flare ups. I wouldn't let this disease steal the most beautiful part of my life away from me. Good luck. .
