Guest guest
Dear Agnes and everyone, I talked to the doctor again today who removed my gallstone. He confirmed to me that my stone is CHOLESTEROL not calcium. He said calcium stones are usually white in color, shinny, and more hard like a marble would be. He broke mine open and looked inside. Anyway, he seems to think that it is definitely a cholesterol based stone with a hard cholesterol shell and insides. Thought some of you who has asked to 'see my stone pic' would want to know that it most likely is not a calcium stone but actually a cholesterol stone. Ciao for now. Guest guest
So then, going back to the ultrasound picture that we looked at some time back that you said looked like your stone...that was described as a cholesterol stone, not calcium...shows that cholesterol can get very hard, I guess. Interesting. Can you send a pic of the stone to claudiameydrech@... ?? L. Guest guest
, Yes, my ultrasound shows a white stone object but it is actually a dark yellow cholesterol stone. I think both calcium and hard cholesterol stones will show up on ultrasound. 90% of all hard gallstones are cholesterol anyway. Pigmented and/or calcium stones are more rare. To get a pic of my stone please request it by writing directly to my email at barry@... Ciao for now. Barry. --- In gallstones@y..., " L.
