Guest guest
>>I wonder where they get those numbers because in my area it's only been about 5% of the people that I know who had the surgery that are happy with it<< That seems strange to me, because I know SO many people who have had the surgery, and only one has any problems. She has an unexplained minor pain at times. She had emergency surgery, after collapsing at work and being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Emergency surgey is more invasive and dangerous than laparoscopic. Everyone else I know is absolutely fine. Guest guest
>>A cousin had her Gallbladder taken out and was told it was perfectly healthy.<< Even my GI told me that some doctors will take out the gallbladder first to see if that eliminates the problem, instead of eliminating other problems(reflux, dyskenesia, etc) first. That is just so ridiculous! Perform surgeery, remove a healthy organ, and THEN look elsewhere! I was fortunate to have doctors who took their time, and eliminated other possibilities first. They did not automatically assume that a few gallstones were causing my pain. Guest guest
ou don't know me and it's so easy to assume that I don't do anything but sit around eating bon bons. Sorry, that's not the case. I know more about true eating healthy than most people were ever taught thanks to my Parents healthy ways. D, a good person to listen to on this subject who has a lot of knowledge about it and is trustworthy is Dale . He's had some serious problems and has straightened himself out. So D, go back and read some of Dale's posts and stuff. He's been doing the cleanses and knows a lot about GB/Liver problems. Take care, Susie
Guest guest
>>a good person to listen to on this subject who has a lot of knowledge about it and is trustworthy is Dale << I have to second this. Before I had surgery, I got a lot of useful information from Dale. He has a lot of firsthand knowledge, and has done a lot of research. The MOST wonderful thing about Dale, is that he can totally disagree with you, and yet as long as he knows that your beliefs or questions are sincere, he will never be anything but totally respectful, never condescending in anyway, never pretending to know something he doesn't. He could serve as a role model for a few people. You can trust him.
