Guest guest
Background information: I'd appreciate any help to get my loose bowel movements and achiness under my right rib cage under control which have continued for the past 7 days. It was tolerable in the beginning but I can ignore it no longer and it confirms my suspicions from earlier this year that I have a gall bladder problem since I cannot tolerate higher fat foods (e.g., red meat). I have already read all the hyperlinks posted under Bookmarks and started scanning the postings here plus did my own research on the internet (e.g., the Mercola site). Two years ago, an ultrasound did not reveal any gallstones. My liver enzyme levels were OK in January except my bun/creatinine ratio was a little high (but maybe that's for your kidneys). 2 Questions: 1. What immediate tips do you folks have to reduce the loose bowel movements and annoying pain so I can regain some control over this? I don't think I could mentally or physically handle a cleanse right now. So far, I have cut back on saturated fats, taken some taurine, will start taking phosphatidylcholine (which contains lecithin) starting later today, eat an apple for a snack and keep drinking more water. I also am going to stick to the diet recommendations when I make my meals today although I am pretty much following them already. 2. Are there things that I can get or do with a traditional doctor that may be useful as I help myself other than checking my blood levels and getting another ultrasound done? Don't worry --- I am not getting this gall bladder removed without trying very hard on my own part but maybe, I can " use " the doctor to my benefit!! With gratitude and Happy 4th to you all, M.E.
