Guest guest
Well, Susie, I should have had this thuoght a couple of weeks ago. My streak is over. Last night I had a 7 1/2 hour attack that nothing would stop. I drank ES twice, tried olive oil, hot cold therapy, prayer, massage, hot castor oil pack. After almost 6 hours in the tub, I finally curled up on a couch and dozed on and off. I was woken out of a sound doze LOL, with the word lobelia. I think it was inspiration. Unfortunately, I did not stop to think or read what the proper dosage was. I took 2 large capsules. The good news is in 15 minutes, it was over. I have since learned it is a powerful relaxant. It is also an emetic (read Ipecac for those of you who are parents). I have had waves of nausea and dry heaves on and off throughout the day. I cannot even tolerate a sip of water. Any nutritionists or herbalists know a " safe " dosage for capsules? I think one would have done the trick without the nausea. Also when will this wear off? This is a testimony to those who don't believe herbs are medicinal. Be very careful. Normally I am very cautious and read first, but I really felt it was inspired (and still do) so didn't stop to think. I think I got overconfident with meat. I usually only eat about once a week, but over the last two weeks, was out of town both weekends, ate out, etc. The greasy, fast food, fried stuff is not a problem for me. I see skull and crossbones when I see that stuff. I made an appointment today to talk to the surgeon on Aug 1. I'll probably get another ultrasound a few days before. Until then, no meat for this girl and I think I will mostly juice. Just take it day by day. Dawn One thing that I have to fight is getting overconfident, which > it's easy to do if you haven't had attacks in quite some time. > Take care, > Susie
Guest guest
Susie, It is quite a controversial herb. I believe the FDA has it in its sights for annihilation. However it is revered and respected by many herbalists. Many recommend taking it to nausea. Well I guess I did that. It is a powerful relaxant, sedative, and stimulant. It immediately relaxed my gb. But I spent the whole day fighting nausea and vomiting. Happy to say today I am back to normal. I don't know where to go from here. Dawn What is lobelia? I've never heard of it. > Take care, > Susie > > >
