I would encourage you to trust your own instincts and know your own body.

There will always be people out there who attempt to disprove what others

know to be valid. Discussion of varying viewpoints is always good, but

please don't let it discourage you.

So very well said!!!

Whether you find my reply " right " or " wrong " really isn't the issue.

What IS important to me is that Dawn feel good about what she is doing and

the choices she is making.

in health,

Yes, I read it, but no, I didn't misunderstand. You interpreted my post,

evidently, to be referring directly to you. Which it wasn't. I was

responding to Dawn about Dawn's concerns that she expressed.

Not a problem. It's easy to read things the wrong way in these email groups.

You'ved been very involved in most of the discussion out here, so I can

see why you might think that it was about you, when it actually was more of a

generalized comment.

Whatever we are doing in life there will almost always be at least one person

who sees/feels/perceives/understands/interperets (whichever word you choose)

things differently and will attempt to persuade you that what you're doing is

wrong. " You " means everyone.

I think it's important for everyone to feel confident about their own health

decisions. Important also to keep an open mind about things and be willing

to listen to other possibilities, but in the end to feel good about whatever

choice they've made and not be frustrated or discouraged by the presence of

differing opinions.

Perhaps that states what I meant more clearly.

Well wishes to you and everyone

Dawn (and ),

Since replied to a question from Dawn about my post I will

have to say is right and wrong in her reply for these reasons.

No one is trying to 'attempt to disprove what others know to be

valid'. Some of us are trying to 'advance' on what we already have

learned by knowledge and experience without 'disproving' the flush

results. Just to further 'define' those results. Expanding the

definition should not be viewed as an attempt to disprove. That is

not the point at all.

Knowing your body is the key. We all want to stop the pain with

flushing. That is the goal. I'm sure no one wants to drink oil

forever. Knowing the results of the flush can help to lead you to the

goal faster. Also it can help you to understand what your body is

doing, and why pain is there or not, etc during the process.

Good luck in your search.

Barry.

Exactly the reason for my post. Did you read it? Wrong meaning you

missunderstood the question to me by Dawn. The issue was what is

important to feeling good. :-)

I *DO* feel good about what I am doing. But, as a sahm of 6 children,

I do not have the time to do the scientific research and understand

it. So, when I see some of the arguments, it raises a little doubt,

BUT we have a very good friend who recently had his gb removed and

they nicked him. He is having some pretty terrible problems. I do not

want to be the small percentage that happens to, so for now I will

cleanse, avoid allergenic foods, eat mostly vegetarian, continue

searching for answers, and take supplements to help the liver and gb.

,

Sorry about the missunderstanding about your post to Dawn. Your reply

to Dawn was from her reply to me therefore the missunderstanding of

your reply being 'directed' individually was easy to assume. I know

you respect opinions because I've known you for a while now. :-)

I (at least me for one) am not trying to persuade anyone into

thinking what they are doing is 'wrong'. My opinions are only adding

to what people may already know. Reaching further opinions than what

we already know is just a further indept opinion about the results of

gallstones, bile, balls, pain, etc. No one should feel an opinion is

for them or not. We all make choices based on our own collective

knowledge and experience. Thank God this group allows for many

opinions to be studied. This will hopefully advance our individual

searches faster.

Good luck in your search as well.

>>I would encourage you to trust your own instincts and know your own body.

I am sure that this feels equally true from either side of any discussion.

I do not recall anyone in any way attempting to discourage anyone from doing

whatever they feel is best for them. What does get discouraging is when

someone accusses Jay of being Barrett, or some such thing. (I have

no idea who Jay is, I just don't like seeing anyone picked on. I'm just

saying this because the last time I spoke up for someone, I was accused of

actually being that person. g!) What is discouraging is when people cannot

be supportive of one another regardless of what there definition of a

" stone " is (a discussion I have not participated in), or where they form.

If someone is confident in his or her decision, and feeling good, that's all

that matters. It often seems as if some people do not want to just share

their opinion, but rather have to convince everyone else that they are

" right. " As far as I'm concerned, everyone's opinion/decision is " right for

them. If someone claims to have flushed out thousands of stones, although I

may be skeptical of what it actually was (although I do believe in a health

benefit regardless of what it all was), I have no need or desire to question

them on this. I'm just glad that the person is feeling good. And if it is

all stones he/she got out, so much the better.
