Guest guest
Hi I have done several variations of liver cleansing - including Dr. Schulze's 5 day cleanse. Yes, it does seem that most people talk about Dr. 's cleanse, but there's also Dr. ' version (www.relfe.com) as well as others. I've done a bit of fasting in my day, so I'll do my best to offer what support I can. As for exercising during a fast, I would suggest that you listen to your body. Don't overdo it - I mean, I wouldn't go for any intense aerobics classes or kickboxing or the like! but sure, some exercise will help your body with the cleansing. And the elimination will happen when your body is ready for it. Were you having regular bowel movements prior to this? Your body is getting a great rest and your bowels will resume when you resume eating. I know there are others who will strongly say that you need to do enemas during the fast, but I'm not in that school of thought. If you feel the need for one, then by all means, do one. But for a short fast like this you should be just fine. As for websites and books - well, there's a ton of them out there. I'd really encourage you to do a search for fasting and check out what the different sources have to say. They will differ, but you will find what is right for you. I hope some of this makes sense. I didn't get much sleep last night and am fighting to keep my eyes open! keep us posted, okay? rachel In a message dated 5/14/2002 9:47:16 PM Eastern Daylight Time, jrumohr@... writes: > Besides all that, I'm curious if there are others on this list who have also > done the Schulze liver cleanse. Guest guest
Hi : You may feel weak or dizzy during the first few days of a juice fast, but this can be a good sign. It often means your body is releasing toxins, which is one of the objects of a fast. If you are trying to fast and work in a restaurant at the same time, all I gotta say is - WOW! Good luck. Guest guest
>>is red meat bad? Well, it's bad if you're trying to do a fast! Thank you to those who have shared their wisdom. I'm on the 2nd day of the fast. It's not so bad. I'm a massage student and have been doing massage as well as riding my bike to school and so far, I feel fine. I got a little dizzy in class yesterday around noon, not sure what that was about, but I'm fine today. I did do a search for fasting and found some interesting and helpful information. I think the hardest part might be tonight...I work in a restaurant. I don't really want food, but if I am around it for the night, you know. Just a little mental/emotional discomfort, no biggie. , Seattle, WA
