Guest guest
as anyone came up with an answer for s question about her friend who has dark rings around her eyes? I have a friend who has the same thing and doesn't know if it is hereditary or something missing in his diet. Does anyone know anything about this? What to try for dieting? He says vitamins don't help. My best advice is for him to go on Dr. Cabot's diet, but then not everyone agrees with it. Dark circles can be a sign of liver dysfunction. Not necessarily the chronic kind, though, but it can mean this. I would suggest this diet. THAT'S MY OPINION! Susie
Guest guest
He says he eats a lot of veggies and little meats but who knows? Maybe more sleep will help him? Barry, Tell him that eating meats are important, but then everyone's different some some are just vegetarians. However, Dale's advice about essential fatty acids are extremely important for function of the liver. We all need these fats to keep us alive and healthy. In Dr. Cabot's book, there's a list of these. Raw nuts, avocado, olive oil, sesame oil and various kinds of healthy oils. This is just to name a few. Take care, Susie
Guest guest
Maybe some kind of wives-tale cure like rubbing galric or onions on the eyes and burying it in the backyard on a full moon or something like that. haha Well, sorry, I don't know anything about old wives tales at all. But I do know that dark circles can be a sign of liver dysfunction, although it's not always. It can be other things, too, I just don't know what. Before I started on Dr. Cabot's diet, which I need to get back on again, I had dark circles under my eyes. Susie

Guest guest
Susie, Thanks for your advice. I already suggested liver to him but he was wondering if some kind of supplement was missing from his diet. He says he eats a lot of veggies and little meats but who knows? Maybe more sleep will help him? If anyone esle has something to suggest it would be appreciated too. Thanks. Be Healthy. Guest guest
Thanks Susie, I'll tell him again it must (or could be)something in his diet. I saw him again today and asked him a few more things. He said he excersizes fairly frequently (tennis and rollerblading) and thinks his dieting is ok. He says he's had it for around 20 years (he's 45 yrs old now). He thinks it has something to do with hereditary genes or something specifically that may be missing in the diet. I was also wondering if someone knows anything about homeopathic remedies or alternative medicine type remedies for dark circle below the eyes. Maybe some kind of wives-tale cure like rubbing galric or onions on the eyes and burying it in the backyard on a full moon or something like that. haha My Mom had an old FoxFire collecting of books of old wives-tale cures but she doesn't have them anymore. I remember that some of those cures were like that.
