The AMA has not sued Ms. , PhD, N.D. One physician, Barrett,

M.D., has sued her for liable and defamation of character, nothing whatsoever

to do with medical issues.

From Dr. Barrett's web site at:

http://www.quackwatch.com/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/clark.html

" Hulda Regehr , 72, claims to cure cancer, AIDS, and many other serious

diseases. She describes herself as an " independent research scientist " with

bachelor and master's degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph.D.

degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota (1958). She also lists

a naturopathic (N.D.) degree from the Clayton College of Natural Health.

Clayton is a nonaccredited correspondence school founded in 1980 and located

in Birmingham Alabama. In 1985, when this school was called Dr. Clayton's

School of Natural Healing, its " Doctor of Naturopathy " course was described

in a magazine article as a " 100-hour course " for which the tuition was $695. "

From 's book " The Cure for All Cancers " -

" All cancers are alike. They are all caused by a parasite. A single parasite!

It is the human intestinal fluke. And if you kill this parasite, the cancer

stops immediately. The tissue becomes normal again. In order to get cancer,

you must have this parasite. . . . "

With statements like that, that's why!!!! She also has parasites at the

center of all gallstones in her book " The Cure for all Diseases " - a copy of

which I have on my bookshelf. Let's assume that her statement is true. In

order for it to be true then all analysis by laboratories of the cancer's

that have been removed, which can identify and differentiate between normal

cells and cancer cells, can't identify that little old intestinal fluke (only

found in SE Asia, by the way) that is at the center of the cancer and itself

made up of millions of cells (they are up to 2 and a half inches long).

These laboratory and research analysis are done in the U. S., Canada, Europe,

and Asia by the millions each year. The inability to discover this fluke is

because it is never there. 's " research " has never produced one, and

more than likely never will. has parasites all over the place. It is

her obsession. Yet in her book TCFAD she doesn't even address the leading

killer in the entire world, a parasite - the one that causes malaria. This is

a known parasite, but she doesn't even address it. (The University of No.

Carolina has found that the ingestion of raw garlic by animals, kills an

animal form of the malaria parasite, but doesn't mention garlic

either.)

I don't understand the statement or the implication. Is it that the medical

profession is responsible for the rise in deaths due to heart disease and

cancer? If that's what is being said, then you also have to give them credit

for the life extensions of the last 100 years.

From: http://www.efmoody.com/estate/lifeexpectancy.html

The life expectancy for the U. S. population in 1900 was 49.2 years. In 1997

it was 76.5 years. You will also note on that page that the death rate from

heart disease from 1980 (earliest year available) to 1997 declined

significantly, while the death rate for cancer remained about the same. In

1900 white flour and white sugar were recent introductions. The last figure

that I saw, the U. S. had a per capita annual consumption of 43 pounds of

sugar. That's for every man, woman, and child. Do you blame the medical fi

eld for this explosion on sugar consumption? No wonder obesity and diabetes

are rising dramatically. We as individuals are ultimately responsible for

what we consume, not the medical profession. When you extend life by more

than 50% (1900 to 1997), something's got to give, and apparently the heart is

the weakest link.

" Most all of the advancement against disease has been due to better

sanitation, which the medical establishment fought. "

Taken totally out of context. The medical profession did resist the

sterilization of their hands and surgical instruments until the discovery of

bacteria in the 19th century, but not beyond that. But don't generalize that

to include sanitation in general, and don't then extend that to say that

sanitation is reason for the eradication of contagious disease. Sanitation

has played a part, but it has been the advancement of medical knowledge and

techniques that have done the most to cure disease. Heart disease and cancer

have little to do with sanitation.

A couple of years ago it was published that if a cure for all cancer was

found tomorrow, life expectancy would be increased by 7 months (U. S.). If a

cure for arteriosclerosis were discovered tomorrow, life expectancy would be

increased by 10 to 12 years (U. S.)! In the case of arteriosclerosis in

particular, the solution is in the hands of each and every individual. A

reduction in the level of fat intake (all fats, including the big O) along

with moderate exercise will reduce all heart disease (and cancer too)

dramatically. The hated medical community is now repeating this mantra

almost in unison. It isn't a pill, it isn't a placebo, it is an instruction

to " do it for yourself. " But few people follow the suggestions, hence the

obesity and heart disease and the myriad of other problems. It has even been

found that exercise alone (not diet), can reduce gallstones in both men and

women by one-third! If you're an American, you want a quick fix, but for

both heart disease and cancer there isn't one. Yet there are things that you

can do to prevent it, no matter when you start. I don't remember the small

town, but a few years ago a community of about 35,000 people made a

commitment to follow the Pritiken diet faithfully for a year. This 20% fat

diet resulted in a dramatic decline of all medical problems in that

community, in just one year.

Though cancer is a much smaller factor in life expectancy rates, it is the

scariest and that is how unconventional and non-working alternative solutions

are sought by those who the medical community has given up on. As a cancer

survivor my opinion is that some alternative medical practitioners are valid,

but not .

Conventional medicine has its flaws and our current mass-production medical

clinics with the two minute doctor consultations is just one of them, but

they are not the reason for our ills. Don't blame all of the worlds medical

ills on M. Ds. Each and everyone of us has a hand in our own destiny.

informed me that 's brother, Henry Regehr, died of cancer despite

treatment by her. "
