Guest guest
I had my gallbladder out over a year ago but lately I've been having pain in that region as well as a kind of fluttering feeling. This may sound like a crazy question, but can one still get gallstones even if they no longer have a gallbladder? When I was rushed to the hospital and scanned, they said that there were tons of stones in my liver, pancreas and duodenum, so I imagine those little suckers can develop anywhere! But I'm really not sure. I'd like to try the cleansing program but I want to make sure first that I am doing the right thing. I was also wondering if there are possibly any women here who have had their gallblader out and have experienced abnormalities in their menstruation (like missed periods or painful PMS). Thanks for listening! Maisie
Guest guest
Hi Maisie, I believe there is evidence to support the idea that stones are actually formed in the liver as well as the GB, and that you could still have trouble/pain as a direct result of liver stones. The evidence I speak of can be found on the curezone website. Before I actually found this website, I had read testimonials on another health board (can't remember which one) of women with continuing pain after GB surgery, sometimes many years later. I encourage you to give the liver cleanse a try; if there are any stones in the common bile duct, the liver cleanse will flush them out. I had my GB removed Sept. of 2001, and immediately continued to have attacks as a result of a stone or stones left in the common bile duct. I've done 8 liver cleanses, and have passed hundreds of pea green and tan colored stones of varying sizes. The pain I had was completely relieved after two cleanses. I've not noticed any unusual changes in my period. Hope I've been helpful, Adrienne rhastein <rhastein@...> wrote: I had my gallbladder out over a year ago but lately I've been having pain in that region as well as a kind of fluttering feeling. I was away for the holiday and just got back to so much mail!! What are your attacks like? I don't suffer too much from pain, maybe a little ache now and then. But sometimes I get spasms where my galbladder used to be. The other day I actually felt my whole stomach and digestive tract doing its work, sort of like rickety machinery. If I put my hand to my upper abdomen I could feel things spazzing around in there, like a baby kicking inside! I ate nothing unusual, in fact, I've taken to consuming nothing but vegetable juices, watermelon, rice cakes and dried seaweed for the past week to ready myself for the fast and cleanse. But the major spazz attack just happened once, a few days ago. Someone mentioned that one's doctor can prescribe anti-spasm medication but I wonder if that's enough. Like pain medication often just masks the problem instead of curing what's causing it. Do anti-spasm medications deal with the source of what's causing the spasm? Guest guest
Hi again, Well, I've done a total of 8 liver cleanses, and after the first two, all symptoms ceased...I don't suffer from any more attacks. Prior to doing the liver cleanse, I'd feel a knawing, unrelenting pain, in the middle epigastric region, midway between the rib cage and belly button. This occured shortly after eating any kind of fat. It could last 3 or 4 hours...and this immediately after my GB surgery. In fact it was the same pain I had before surgery as well. Along with the attacks after surgery, I did experience for a short while some minor bowel symptoms of gas and rumblings. That has subsided as well. But one thing I've done which has been even more helpful as regards the bowel, is a series of colonics. I've noticed a tremendous difference in my bowel movement regularity, and feel great. I'm looking forward to doing another liver cleanse soon. Sorry I can't advise you about the anti-spasmodics, as I never took them.
