Few months back I started feeling discomfort on my right side upper

quadrant. I went for ultrasound and blood test. Ultrasound showed 2-

3 stones measuring 6-7 mm. Blood test showed that I have a cured HB

case. Now, this discomfort is still continuing. It is not shooting

pain like which is caused by gb stones. Rather it is

gaseous/muscular one. Mostly, it remains on the right side and

sometime it moves on the left side under left ribcage. I also feel

backache on the right and left side ribcages. Surprisingly I feel

pain while coming to standing position from a sitting position or

driving a car on the bumpy road. This discomfort on the right causes

belching, so it seems it is gaseous discomfort. Do anybody have such

symptoms and does gall stones cause dyspepsia like this. It is a

sort of continuous discomfort, whereas pain due to gb stones come and

goes off. Is it due to irritable colon or after effects of recovery

from HB.

What did your blood test show as regards your liver's present condition? That

is, are you dealing with any elevated levels of enzymes?

It is quite possible that you are dealing with a bowel situation too, but from

what you noted here you didn't say whether you are also dealing with varied

bowel movements. These varied movements could be something like having solid one

time and them having a loose movement a few hours later with any type of

discomfort. If that were the case you could be dealing with irritable bowel

syndrome.

My liver enzymes are okay. All my blood tests with regard to lever

and others show normal. For years, I have constipation problem,

which is not a new thing to me. I don't have varied movements. This

problem is a new one. Surprisingly, one of my tea boy had the same

symptoms, who recovered after a year.

Now question arises :

Whether these dyspepsia/muscular pains are due to gall stones or due

to my recovery phase from liver attack and gas travelling to the

upper quadrents.

Hello,

I have constipation problems, if I don't work at it, with my GB problem and

much gas. But I've found out that if I take 3 magnesium capsules per day,

then my problem is very much eased. Plus I drink a lot of water.

Hi,

Just my 2 cents... I too feel like a diagnostic puzzle. The

discomfort you describe sounds similar to mine.I have muscular pain

on

right side and right back that alternates with a sensation of being

poked in the ribs by my liver from inside(this is continuous).I've

had

1 episode of sharp

pain in back lasting only a few seconds. But the usual pain -as you

describe,is especially noticeable when driving. For my other

symptoms-see Msg #11470

My ultrasound and liver function labs were normal acc. to my doctor.

So what is it then? ?Early symptoms of GB disease/ " sludge " in ducts??I

don't know either,I'm going to try a flush and see what happens.

Also I don't want to alarm you but make sure you have you kidneys

checked out,my dad had right back/side pain with much belching and

had kidney cancer.I was convinced that's what I had, until the

abd.ultrasound ruled it out-Thank God! I've read you can have

gassiness/belching with gallstones so hopefully thats all it is.

Might be good to get to a chiropractor and get an adjustment

if the pain is influenced by position and movement. Still

can be related to gall bladder, etc., but when body is stressed

it can affect the spine, and vise versa.
