Guest guest
Dawn, Yes, I have my gallstone in front of me. It was removed 7 weeks ago and is still as hard as a rock. The same as when it came out. Mine is what I consider the 'real gallstone'. Melting blobs of bile balls are not what is causing those colic attacks but it is the hard stone(s) that are still in the gb that are the 'problem stones'. You can flush those soft bile balls out forever but until you get out those hard gallstones you will most likely still have your problem with pain. Good luck. Keep flushing. Guest guest
This is a cholesterol type of stone, so it will melt, but the main reason is because it is getting oxygen from the air and that is the main reason for it becoming liquid again. Guest guest
Dale, My hard removed gallstone is also cholesterol. 90% of all hard removed gallstones are cholesterol stones. You need to be more specific why Dawns 'stone' melts. I call her 'stone' a blob of round soft bile. My cholesterol stone is still hard as a rock. Guest guest
Dale, My stone is definitely cholesterol based. It sounds like you are now questioning my stone type. The fact is that 90-95% of all hard gallstones removed post-surgery from gallbladders are cholesterol stones. Calcium stones are more rare. Calcium stones also are very different in appearance. My cholesterol stone is like a crusty, bumpy hard rock whereas a calcium or pigment stone would be smooth and hard like a marble. Research and testing of removed gallstones indicate that 90-95% of gallstones removed are cholesterol based. I think the misunderstanding that most people in here have is that hard gallstones are calcium when in fact they are in most cases hardened cholesterol. Also gallstones do not melt in air weither they are cholesterol or calcium. My father still has his gallstones in a small jar that was removed in 1982. He says they have changed in color somewhat but are still as hard as when removed. Hard meaning cholesterol crusty hard not like calcium marble hard. Guest guest
Dale, Does this question mean that you believe that 90-95% of all hard gallstones removed from gallbladders that have been tested as cholesterol based instead of calcium based is invalid. Guest guest
Dale, Furthermore... Weither my gallstone has been tested yet or not does not change the results by research done to varify that the majority of hard gallstones removed after surgery have been proven to be of the cholesterol type vs. the calcium type. Study and see for yourself. The real issue is Dawns melting balls. Hardened gallstones coming directly from the gallbladder, weither they are cholesterol or calcium type will not melt in air. If you are asking me if my gallstone has been tested can you then also provide research proof that hard cholesterol gallstones coming from the gallbladder will melt in air? There is no proof. My proof for cholesterol hard gallstones removed from gb's has been proven many times in the research that is provided by post-surgery tested results. Search and find again. No case that I know of where hard gallstones have been removed from surgery results in melting stones by being exposed to air. Obviously Dawn is not dealing with a hard gallstone but in fact just a blob of flushed bile (Not oil, but formed bile by process of method). This is the real issue. Why you are seemingly 'skirting' her issue is either because you still believe that most 'hard' gallstones are calcium instead of cholesterol (which if true, you need to research that further to understand your error) or you don't have the proof that Dawn has requested from you. Keep searching for true.
