It's much lighter. Also, press in some fresh ginger root. Not a whole lot, just a little because it's pretty strong. Ginger stops nausea. You might add about 2 drops of peppermint oil, too, because it helps the nausea. I add both ginger and peppermint oil. Susie
Guest guest
Hi, I can understand your distaste for drinking the olive oil. I found that using organic extra virgin olive oil, by Spectrum, went down easier than regular non organic olive oil, however, it's really a matter of taste. There are different levels of strength in the flavor of olive oil, and you might just want to keep trying different ones. There is one trick that helps me a lot. I use a straw, and with one big breath, hold my nose, and drink it all down. Then, if needed, I swish my mouth out with water. I find the epsom harder to drink than the olive oil. I use Dr. 's method, which combines the olive oil with grapefruit juice. Hope this helps, Adrienne dmariafc <dmariafc@...> wrote: I have been persistently flushing with Olive Oil for several months, but I still can't get comfortable with drinking Olive Oil. It just makes me so sick and miserable. I tried Almond and Sesame Oils; but they are all the same. The Oils are all just repulsive and nauseous. Can anyone help me get out of this misery ? Is there any flush method without Oil ? If not, is there any way to make the Oil easier to take and not get so sick ?

Shake the olive oil 1/2 and 1/2 with " freshly made " grapefruit juice. Shake vigorously for 1 minute! Then drink it. If you do this you should be fine. If you don't, you'll very likely get sick. Do many people have adverse reactions, and if so, what kind? I am hypothyroid as well as having an acute gastritis problem, so I worry about taking epsom salts. Is it similar in some ways to regular table salt, and how much does one have to consume in a flush? I was also wondering if anyone was familiar with Bragg's apple cider vinegar. It is supposed to be very good at flushing out gallstones and I notice when I do take it (one teasoon to a 12-ounce glass of water) that I have little if any problem. Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry that I can't advise you as to how epsom could affect your particular condition with your gastritis and hypothyroid problem. However, I've not heard of anyone on this list complain of any adverse reactions to taking the epsom (I've been on this list since last October). My comment regarding the difficulty in drinking the epsom was regarding its taste only....it's got a zing to it going down. I also drink it with a straw and hold my breath. Others on this list have suggested mixing the epsom with apple juice instead of water, and say it's much more palatable that way. I've not personally tried this, as I've felt comfortable with following Dr. 's instructions to the letter, even with the difficulty in the awful tasting epsom drink. .. rhastein@... wrote: In a message dated 7/12/02 6:53:08 AM Pacific Daylight Time, adriennelynn1@... writes: << I find the epsom harder to drink than the olive oil. >> I'm worried about taking epsom salts.
