Guest guest
I was informed this morning that my granny is going to go through chemo and radiation! I am so shocked. I know she has not chosen this. She is being forced into it by argument, and is aquiescing. Is that the right word? She has no insurance and no Medicare and can't qualify for reasons I do not understand. I think the treatment will kill her. I am going to have to deal with these emotions but I have a new resentment for the medical system. They will not do surgery, which is inexpensive, " because they are worried whether she will survive it. " But they will subject her to weeks and months of expensive fatal chemicals and she will get through it just fine? They will deplete her entire life savings and either kill her in the process, shorten her life, or ruin what she might have had left. I would love to be corrected. If you know anyone with a positive cancer outcome through medical means, I would sure like to know. Esp and old frail 82 year old woman. Otherwise, what can she do to lessen the effects of this horrible experience? Also there is a book by somebody about the medical system. He was the former inheritor of the Dairy Queen empire. Anyone know his name or the title? Dawn
