Guest guest
I never had a gallbladder attack that was longer than 6 hours or so. If I were you I would definitely go to the doctor and perhaps get an ultrasound scheduled to see what is going on. I don't think it is advisable to massage the area...I think that could do more harm than good. These are my opinions only...and I am new here and don't have any experience w/liver flush, so I can't answer those questions. I sure hope you feel better soon; I know it is miserable to have that pain!! -
Guest guest
Dear Naomi, I feel for you in your pain. Please go to the files and links section of the group's page. You can read the info in dieting (good or bad foods to eat for gallbladder and liver). Adjusting your diet may considerably alleviate the pain. After that you may have some more specific questions. Peanut butter is a no no if you're in pain. Other foods will also make the pain worse. cheese, beets. You will find that after a while of eating foods which are gentler on the gallbladder, you may begin to eat the foods which stimulate the gallbladder and have no pain. I am unable to tell by your letter what your pain is from or how severe it is. It seems like a good time for you to go to a health professional. If you're afraid of the traditional making you have surgery, try an alternative health provider. I did the flush the day after I had an extreme attack. My gallbladder was sensative at the time, but I believe that that flush ( and the ones that I later did) saved me from continuing to have attacks. I can also say that stress can initiate an attack. Maybe the stress contracts the muscles which in turn affect the functioning of the gallbladder. Try some soothing herbal teas. Best of luck in you search for health, ~Suzanne
Guest guest
Thanks Suzanne, I am still in a lot of pain this is 3 full days now. I decided to try a flush. I bought Magnesium Citrate and two large pink grapefruits. It is 8:00 PM and I just drank the juice from one grapfruit and then I mixed 1/3 cup of EV olive oil with organic yougurt. I thought that would be OK because one of the cleanses uses cream and fruit. Plus I love having lots of olive oil with my yogurt in the AM with fresh lemon, garlic and salt. It is like Greek Tzadziki without the cucumbers. Do you think it is OK to mix the olive oil with yogurt? I took about 2 ounces of the magnesuim citrate so far and I am still in a lot of pain. I find massaging my gallbladder and liver area helps for a short time but I just keep writhing in pain. Most of the pain is comming from my back where I can not massage. If it gets any worse I will go to the ER and get some pain meds. Thanks for your help.

Guest guest
Hi Naomi,I have been using coptis & curcuma to stop my attacks.Even with that it is sometimes difficult,I am learning that " what I eat & how much I eat affects me greatly. The best after a major attack is distilled water, this allows the system to heal a little without further stress.I have had good luck with Ezekiel bread from the health food stores.Oatmeal has been ok.I am avoiding everything processed as they put many things in.Olive oil a couple times a day.tbspn.flax oil, carrot juice.lightly steamed freshed vegatables.I am in pain right now because I ate too much-too late & tried to add something new to the diet.Good luck, all the best wishes.Jim <>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. > I am in a lot of pain right now. Guest guest
Dear Naomi, I would avoid the yoghurt in your cleanse until you are pain free. The fat and lactose in yoghurt may just make the pain worse. I've read that castor oil packs are good for the pain ~ Suzanne--- In gallstones@y..., " Naomi H " <parentsresources@a...> wrote: > > I am still in a lot of pain this is 3 full days now. I still think it may be dangerous to massage the area...can anyone else speak to this issue? Please let us know how you are doing. Even if you don't go to the ER and this blows over, you might want to consider going your PCP and get him to order an abdominal ultrasound. I went to my PCP today because of the problems I've been having, and I am having an ultrasound next Tuesday. yvonne
