I am in a lot of pain right now. The last time I had an attack was 6

weeks ago (when my husband lost his job) and prior to that was 2

years ago after the birth of my daughter. She is almost weaned now

so my hormones are adjusting again. Plus I am taking 50,000 IU of

theraputic Vitamin D to help my body absorb calcium because my stores

are low and my parathyroid is high.

I am embarrassed to say 84 hours ago I enjoyed a appetizer sampler,

fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks etc at 11:30 at night. The

next AM I was fine and was not hungry. It was very hot so I enjoyed

a small bowl (1/2 cup) of ice cream - still no problem. For dinner

I had macaroni and cheese which I had made homemade with organic

cheese, organic milk and whole wheat pasta. Right after I ate, at

5:30 I started having a gallbladder attack -- that was about 60 hours

ago.

The first night I did not sleep except for the about 1.5 hours - I

took 6 showers, I took magnesium and Tylenol to try to relieve the

pain. I made myself throw up but that did not help much. I drank

apple juice and nothing seemed to help. I could not lie down or even

sit up. I had to be standing or lean over something. I got on the

computer and read something about massaging my gallbladder and

stomach which I did and it seemed to help but it moved the pain from

my gallbladder, to my left side.

I have a dull pain in my back between my shoulder blades and about 2

inches below them – like something was stuck in my back. The

pain

increased again last night. I feel better if I do not eat, but as

soon as I eat the pain comes back and if I lie down it is much

worse. I keep deep massaging where it hurts and it seems to help a

little but not too much.

Now today I am still really sore in my gallbladder area, PLUS all

along where my liver is, and in my back and now in my lower abdomen

too. I feel like if I have a BM it would help but that is not

happening. I have been taking four 500 mg magnesium pills a day and

I do not think it is helping. I also have a lot of burping gas too

which in the past my doctor indicated was a sign of some digestive

swelling.

I don't want to go to the hospital because they will just

schedule me

for surgery. But I have to do something because I am in such pain

and I need to sleep. Not to mention that I am afraid that I may have

something stuck, in which case I am assuming I could end up with an

infection or be blocking my liver, pancreas etc. from functioning.

I just had an organic peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and

now I am in pain again.

You folks have been helpful in the past. Here are my questions. I

would appreciate any ideas you may have.

1. Any ideas on why this is lasting so long?.

2. Do you think it is my gallbladder, if so why am I getting so

much pain on my left side, my back and along my liver? Do you think

I have a stone stuck?

3. Should I just do a flush now, or is it not recommended

during an attack? (I have never done one) If so which recipe would

you use? I am thinking olive oil and lemon and the liquid magnesium

(the stuff that is sold at the pharmacy to clear out a persons

bowels. I cant remember the name)

4. What should I be eating? Everything seems to bother me right

now and make the pain worse.

5. The magnesium does not seem to be helping can you recommend

any other herbs that have helped you during an attack?

Thanks in advance for your help.
