First Amendment Rights to Health Information...Stop the FDA from

blocking the truth!

policies. Act now during this important FDA comment period. Tell the

FDA by September 13, 2002 that you wish to have full access to your

natural health information. Sign and send in the online letter today.

ensure

our voice for health freedom is heard!

************************************************

There is a health care revolution underway in America. Americans make

several hundred million visits to alternative health care

practitioners

every year. More and more consumers are using natural health products

including dietary supplements and natural sources of essential

vitamins

and minerals. But none of this would have been possible with out

millions of consumers taking action and opening up access to these

natural products and practices.

Your voice - the collective citizens' voice - determines whether or

not

we regain ownership of our own health through increased access,

information, choice and safety in healthy living environments

ACTION ALERT: THE FDA AND CONSUMERS' RIGHT TO INFORMATION:

For individuals to make decisions regarding their health and wellness,

they need and have a right to safe and useful information about

natural

health products. The FDA has a long record of withholding important

information about the uses and benefits of natural dietary supplements

and alternative health practices from consumers.

*Millions of citizens demanded that Congress pass DSHEA in 1994 and

Congress listened providing access to dietary supplements-still the

FDA

continues to ignore this historic citizen response and suppress

truthful

information about these very same beneficial products.

*3 separate court cases have found that the FDA's policies regarding

labels of dietary supplements to be unconstitutional and in violation

of

citizen's right to free speech under the First Amendment, still the

FDA

fails to implement the court's rulings and allow truthful information

on

product labels.

The courts assert: The First Amendment requires that the federal

government stop overstepping its boundaries by restricting truthful,

nonmisleading speech.

Consumers demand: The First Amendment required access to safe and

useful information about dietary supplements, and natural health

products and emerging health alternatives fuels today's health care

revolution.

You are guaranteed a constitutional right to truthful health

information. You have the right to choose your health products and

practices. And you have a right and opportunity to voice your opinion

to preserve your rights.

FDA has asked for public comment on how it should regulate under the

First Amendment. (Federal Register: May 16, 2002 (Volume 67, Number

95.))

Tell the FDA to recognize your 1st Amendment rights.

Please take a minute to visit www.citizens.org/FDAAction.htm and sign

the online letter to the FDA addressing their continued

unconstitutional

suppression of free speech today. The comment period ends September

13,

2002, so send in your response today!
