Hi Adrienne,

I think what happens is that the bile gets reabsorbed through the small

intestine. So, I guess, if the colon is not backed up, there is a better

chance of the stuff coming out of the liver to get out before being

reabsorbed into the bloodstream and then sent back to the liver again.

thoughts. After doing as much research about what the benefits/risks

involved are, and researching the best person to go to, I decided to give it

a try. It was definitely not what I expected. After doing so much bowel

cleansing and liver cleansing, I kind of expected it to be a breaze. I

experienced several episodes of breaking out in a cold sweat, and dizziness.

I'm guessing this was an autonomic nervous system response, not necessarily

indicative of anything wrong, but it was not pleasant. The " results " were

good, and I'm scheduled for a couple more.

cleansing would not be as effective without doing a colonic first. I'd not

heard that before, and am wondering if anyone has any light to shed on the

subject. He said the herbal bowel cleansings I've done were not sufficient

to clean the bowel, and the toxins released during the liver cleanse

basically would get recycled in the body if the bowel is not " clean. "

benefits of alternative health methods. The medical community turns their

nose up at the mention of colonics, and I did read a report by a watchdog

group that said colonics have no benefit whatsoever. But, when you look at

the pictures of diseased bowels, and realize that most Americans, with their

processed diets, have bowel problems, and high rates of colon cancer,

well.....let's just say that I don't trust the medical ideas of health care.

Although I've done the Fat Flush program (which also cleans out the

bowel) and a parasite cleanse, something is telling me to think about

a colonic. I know nothing about them. Can anyone point me to a

website for info.? I'd like to learn a little before a consultation.

Are they uncomfortable, do you need to have several, can you find out

how " dirty " your colon is before you proceed, are there risks, etc.?

Thanks

In taking a colonic, you are comfortable, lying down, the position

depends on the machine, some you lay on the side, some on the back.

Some put the water in and take the water and feces out, another one,

you lay on your back and the tip is in the anus about 3 inches, and

the water goes at gravational speed, and you push the water and feces

out down a drain. I personally perfer this one. It just depends on

what kind the person has.

A Colonic is the best thing you can do for yourself. I have a

machine and I will tell you now that it helped a great deal in saving

my life. I was bad sick and I needed it bad. It is highly

recommended. You can do so much better than you can with an enema

bag.

I know it is scary at first, but it is not bad. The main thing is to

relax and let your body work with you and the person helping you.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply. I did some searching and was finding info.

about how good they are till I read an article by the NCAHF--National

Council Against Health Fraud. It said they are completely useless,

lots of risk, etc. Now I'm totally confused. Of course, they also

poo-poo chirpractors too and I couldn't live without mine! I'll have

to do more reading and searching. Thanks
