Guest guest
My notes on low-dose naltrexone (LDN): Indications and efficacy (w/specific cancers and other conditions): effective for about 60% of cancer patients (very effective for some) " On average, cancer patients have been observed to go into remission between 1 month and 6 months after taking LDN " effective w/AIDS, MS, carcinoid, lymphocytic leukemia, Hodgkins, NHL, melanoma, myeloma ( " several members on [LDN] group with...myeloma doing really well " ), neuroblastoma, breast, colorectal, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate cancer (assuming NO antihormonal therapy), & renal cell carcinoma “Cancers…reported by Dr. [bernard] Bihari to apparently respond to LDN " : Glioblastoma [GBM], Lymphocytic Leukemia, Hodgkin's, NHL, Melanoma, Myeloma, Neuroblastoma, NSCLC Lung, Ovarian, Pancreatic, Prostate [assuming patient hasn’t taken hormonal treatment], Renal Cell Carcinoma, Throat, and Uterine Cancer, Breast Cancer, Carcinoid Colon, Liver, & Rectal Cancer “good idea to use naltrexone with any lymphoproliferative disease†(Gammill, 11/03) " LDN is not likely to be of much use with aggressive cancers with distant, multifocal metastases " vgammill@... 11/26/08. " LDN is quite mild and slow acting....I don't expect much from it when it is crunch time " Gammill, ScD, vgammill@..., www.natural-oncology.org, 7/12/09 Ineffective w/patients who’ve had hormonal treatment (even herbal hormonal treatment, like PC-SPES) (www.mbSchachter.com). Synergism and interaction w/other therapies: “There is no conflict between LDN and vaccines†Gammill, 10/12/05 “If [lymphoproliferative disease is] aggressive then metenkephlin can be added…transdermally†(Gammill, 11/03) “DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA)…increase the effectiveness of LDN [For more info,] www.tinyurl.com/2p57xv†You can't take opiate painkillers while on it. For info on LDN & chemo, http://tinyurl.com/ldn-for-cancer http://tinyurl.com/drugs-to-avoid-on-ldn Brands: Can be obtained from compounding pharmacies. I heard NOT to use Bigelow Pharmacy brand. " to obtain LDN: http://tinyurl.com/2dfbvd " Dosage and administration: Use 4.5mg; take at night; don’t use time-release (www.mbSchachter.com). " Naltrexone 3 mg/day seems to stop any lymphoproliferative disease. It takes about 4-6 months though. " (Gammill 10/00). " I buy my Naltrexone from the AllDayChemist but you must turn it into LDN on your own....mix 50 ml of distilled water with one tablet in a small glass container and keep it in the fridge. Each night before bed...shake it and take out 4.5 mls using a dropper and drink it followed by water. You must also take 300-600 mg. of Alpha Lapoic Acid each day " cheryl.s.campbell@... 10/20/09 Side Effects: may increase pain For more info, www.low dose naltrexone.org/ldn_and_cancer.htm or www.ldninfo.org (Bihari’s website; he died 5/16/10) www.ldn4cancer.com www.mnwelldir.org/docs/cancer1/altthrpy.htm www.l.webring.com/hub?ring=colloidalmineral www.health./group/LDN_4_cancer/links ( " wealth of informationâ€) www.health./group/LDN_Users www.mbschachter.com/protocol_for_low.htm www.whitakerwellness.com/health-concerns/low-dose-naltrexone-an-extraordinary-th\ erapy www.webspawner.com/users/ldnforcancer/index.html www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20042414 & www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16484716 (alpha lipoic acid & LDN [ALA/N] for pancreatic cancer) Elaine A. , Wilkinson (2009). _The promise of low dose naltrexone therapy: potential benefits in cancer, Autoimmune, Neurological, and Infectious Disorders_.
