The forum rules say that one should not respond to posts with

quick " thank you's " or " I'll try that " type comments, in order to save

room on what is posted.

But believe me, I am reading just about every post, and most are very

valuable to me. So here is a general, widespread post of great

appreciation for all those who engage in this important disussion, and

who have answers for the many questions I post.

I sometimes participate on a statistical bulletin board where people

post their statistical programming problems & others step in to help

solve the issue, etc. There it is considered rude not to thank the

people who have given of their time to offer assistance. What I have

sometimes done here is to thank people offline via an eMail.
