Guest guest
My husband was treated by Dr. Burzynski in Nov. 09 for GBM. Everyone at the clinic seemed great and we were hopeful about the treatment protocol. We paid UP FRONT approx. $26,000 for all of the meds and office visits. A December scan showed tumor regrowth. At that point the Dr. at the clinic who was overseeing my husband's case simply told me we could do radiation and that would give him a year. How's that for confidence in their treatment? Then, when I figured out a way to get the main drug prescribed by Burzynski through our regular MD at home and have insurance cover it, instead of paying $5,000/month to Burzynski, they dropped my husband as a patient. Our insurance company still has not processed all of the claims, but for the ones they did process, Aetna sent two small checks to Burzynski....but that money belongs to US, and no one at Burzynski's clinic will return my calls or emails. This in insurance fraud and highly unethical. I don't want to dissuade anyone that can really be helped by Burzynski...it seems some people do have success with the treatment, but I want everyone to know that once you pay your money, they really couldn't care less about you.  “As long as people will shed the blood of innocent creatures there can be no peace, no liberty, no harmony between people. Slaughter and justice cannot dwell together.†– Isaac Beshevis Singer
