Guest guest
Silicon dioxide and silicon are chemically quite different, just as sodium chloride and sodium are different. Silicon dioxide is completely inert. It is basically sand. It won't hurt you. Sodium chloride is salt. Conversely, if you were to swallow pure sodium (or pure chlorine for that matter) you would be dead pretty quickly. Another example is carbon and nitrogen. Carbon and nitrogen are in many safe organic things, but if you combine one carbon and one nitrogen, you get CN, also known as cyanide. > > With all due respect beg to differ on silicon.? Guest guest
- I urge you NOT to use any silicon-based products. I don't know whether you have M or not (I learned after being on this board a couple of months that I do). If there is any chance that you do, then you probably already have high blood silicon and silicone. I was tested and have silicosis as M produces this in the body. The effect of silicon/e in the blood is to " smother " the cells so they do not get enough oxygen. I recently saw a show on Discovery Health - " Dr. M, Medical Examiner " where she autopsied someone. This person died from silicone poisoning as a result of being injected with it at a " pump party " . (I won't go into the details of what those are). But Dr. M showed microscopic blood imagery and you can see the silicone coating the red blood cells, suffocating them. Guest guest
Head lice silicon type solution did zilch for me but wouldn't know bout the other stuff.. --- nuthatch_mins@... wrote: From: " sarah3dw " <nuthatch_mins@...> bird mites Subject: Silicon Date: Sun, 19 Apr 2009 14:42:46 -0000 Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried any silicon type products - for example there is a head lice lotion called Hedrin that kills lice, not an insecticide, sort of paralyses them? Would it work on mites? Don't know if it would be safe to use extensively. There is also a non-insecticidal flea killer (household spray) called Skoosh that is silicon based and I suppose it works the same way - maybe on carpets and textiles, don't know if you could spray ceilings/walls? Just wondered if anyone had tried this type of product.
