Guest guest
I am really worried that I may have either picked up an infection while in the hospital those few days, or somehow being there has caused me to actually develop mets to my lungs. Even though the CT scan on Friday indicated that I was clear, as of that Tuesday, I have been fighting a very nasty dry cough and wheezing and shortness of breath. What confuses me is that I was FINE when I came home from the hospital, but suddenly this set on me and I just can't get past it. It scares me that something is now in my lungs but I can't understand how it could have happened that fast. I'm currently taking colloidal silver as well as IP6 and coQ10. Could the coughing and shortness of breath be related to me being anemic? I'm really getting worried!
Guest guest
Have you not been back to a doctor to check out your cough? You've been complaining about this for a little while. No, going into the hospital cannot give you mets. Yes, there are many things it can be. You need to see a doctor for an examination. ar > > I am really worried that I may have either picked up an infection while in the hospital those few days, or somehow being there has caused me to actually develop mets to my lungs. Guest guest
It would not be unheard of that you got a pneumonia starting. Get to a doctor who can find out and deal with it. Please. In not so rare cases, it actually takes the cancer out With kind regards, Slavek.

No, I haven't been back to a doctor - I have no insurance so I try to handle most things at home. I only went to the ER because of the bleeding tumor so of course they had to treat me. Considering that it came on within like 24 hours, I'm thinking its got to be some kind of infection, but I get so paranoid that you just never know. > > Have you not been back to a doctor to check out your cough? Guest guest
You definitely need to check this out...it could be a couple of different things but not mets. You may be anemic or holding fluids in your lungs...go in now and get it checked! On Jul 20, 2010, at 6:43 PM, arlynsg wrote: > Have you not been back to a doctor to check out your cough? Guest guest
Hi Detwa, Are you nebulizing CS? If you do have a lung infection nebulizing CS has proven most effective. What is the status of your tumor now? Has the drainage stopped? Is it shrinking? Best regards, Sandy > No, going into the hospital cannot give you mets. > LOL, I know, its just so bizarre to me the way it came on so fast. Guest guest
Hi, Sandy, No, I am not nebulizing - I looked up nebulizers, are those different from inhalers? I don't see any at local stores but they are available online. However, I see both nebulizers and vaporizers and inhalers, with the nebulizers being the most expensive. Which one is best? That sounds like a great idea to get it into my lungs. The open part of my tumor is still...well, open. We are keeping it clean and dressed and sprayed with colloidal silver. It is still draining daily though. I've started taking the silver internally to help with any infection as there is a bit of an odor. It doesn't seem to be really doing anything, just...there. visually, the size all around seems to be a bit smaller than when I was in the hospital, but of course its hard to be exact when I don't have the type of measuring tools they had. I actually got on my treadmill this morning for 10 minutes and it wore me out! I had to literally sit down and rest, then I took a packet of liposomal vit c and I was finally able to get up and move around. It definitely feels like a lung problem. I've heard of people getting infections from hospitals and I just can't think of anything else that could have happened! Thanks! >
Guest guest
Hi Detwa, Yes, nebulizers and inhalers are different in that the nebulizer produces a very fine mist and much smaller particle size than inhalers. Here is a site that seems to have reasonably priced nebulizers [http://www.portablenebs.com/omroncompair.htm]. If you can afford one I highly recommend it. When tumors drain like yours is it will have an odor. I'm glad to hear you're taking such good care of it. Keep up the good work! I hope you are still taking all of your supplements..they seemed to really get things moving for you. Lung infections can make you feel so tired. It's good you are trying to stay active but try not to overdo...take it slow and easy. Many times people do get infections while in the hospital. My son's girlfriend gets kidney stones quite often and has since she was 11 yo, she's now 22 so she has been in and out of the hospital many times and she has gotten infections that had nothing to do with her kidney stones and a couple of times were very severe...was in the hospital for weeks. I'm not trying to alarm you but giving an example that it does happen. Keep taking good care of yourself and know you're in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Sandy
Guest guest
Okay, I got my nebulizer, its by Omron. But I'm not exactly enjoying it - I wonder if this colloidal silver is okay? Its 20 ppm, from Utopia Silver. Or maybe Im just not used to the whole breathing mist thing, but it doesnt " feel " too good, I have to keep stopping. Sometimes it feels as if the mist burns a little bit. Ive only used it so far twice yesterday, about 15 min each time, and about to try it again. Just wondering if thats how the silver is supposed to feel going in or should it be more....smooth? > > Hi Detwa, > > Yes, nebulizers and inhalers are different in that the nebulizer produces a very fine mist and much smaller particle size than inhalers. Guest guest
Does pneumonia always produce some type of mucus in the chest? Because my cough is just dry, it doesnt produce anything, its just irritating, but I have to really catch my breath to do it. I might go back to ER (ugh) to get it checked out, but I so hate going there, seems like I get sicker everytime I go! > > > It would not be unheard of that you got a pneumonia starting. Guest guest
Hi Detwa, I would imagine that if you have a lung infection it would be uncomfortable for a while until it started getting better. You should indeed stop and start until you can breathe the mist longer periods of time. When my son had the flu with a lot of lung congestion it was very hard for him to use the nebulizer so he only did what he felt comfortable doing which was only about 10 minutes at a time. What do the Omron instructions recommend? I think 15 minutes is a very good start and just take it slow and easy. How is your cough doing...about the same...some better? I do not know anything about Utopia Silver. I make my own which is 10ppm which works very well. You could try diluting the 20ppm with some distilled water and see if that helps? Please use your judgment...if you are getting worse you should consider seeing a doctor. Many blessings, Sandy
