Guest guest
It's illegal for Brazillian Dr.'S to take patients from outside their country. They are setting up shop in Paraguay but are still not taking international patients. Once they start, I'll post it. Surgery for lumpectomy is June 17th followed by radiation. I do NOT want the radiation!! And absolutely will not do chemo if that suggestion comes around later. >

Guest guest
Hi Louise, I've looked in to PET Scans now and absolutely see the benefit. I will get one. Unfortunately, breast cancer is not covered by OHIP. They want $2400. I made an appointment with my nephrologist for Wednesday (I donated one, so work off of one). He's " big time " in Toronto and I will ask him if he can requisition a PET scan. He'll have a stake in this as the MRI with die they have planned for me before lumpectomy in 2 weeks is very hard on kidneys. The PET scan clinic I spoke with says that the sugar injection they use for PET scan is completely harmless to kidneys. There are also 3 programs with petscansontario.ca that may allow one of my doctors to apply for me and have the govt fund some or all of it if we can get me qualified. If none of those options work, I will pay the full amount (with payment options) and get an appointment within 48 hours at the clinic I spoke with. I have several naturopath supplements as recommended on this list, am walking at least 2-1/2 hours every day, getting some natural sunshine and eating all organic cancer-fighting superfoods at each and every meal. I've closed my business and dropped off the business board I belong to. No stress, just focusing on me. I'm seeing 2 different energy workers and fighting this as hard, fast and early as I possibly can! Again to you Louise, bjcody, and everyone else who's responded and shared - a huge THANK YOU! I don't feel alone in this anymore, thanks to all of you and it makes a big difference. Barbara
Guest guest
I am sure their going to measure your creatinine before they do the MRI. Do you have weak kidneys? If so, maybe that will strengthen your argument for a free PET Scan. I am shocked ON charges for them. BC doesn't. For those of you who don't know, PET Scans are deemed 'experimental' in Canada. We are known for that, our country that is. Enough Canadians have to have them before they're considered mainstream. Social medicine....apparently our physical makeup is different from everyone else in the world! Louise Sent wirelessly from my BlackBerry device on the Bell network.
