Guest guest
I have same concern too and wrote to flaxseedoil2 group and was suggested: " It's OK to use beet juice along with asparagas (cooked) for metal detox. Keep the amounts of beet juice fairly modest, an ounce or two per day " . With this amount, I do not think it reachs the therapeutic level as mini beet protocol suggested. love to hear more feedback on this issue. Helen The protocol was posted about a month ago, bt I can't find that message. I have a question about it. Dr. Mercola posted an article on his side about kidney stones. And one of the type of stones, calcium oxalate. He mentioned beetroot (and some other veggies) as having high levels of oxalate and hense high doses of those will increase a risk of developing kidney stones. My question is - how safe is to drink beet juice (mixed with carrot etc) on a daily basis and for how long? Here is Mercola's article: http://articles. mercola.com/ sites/articles/ archive/2009/ 07/25/informatio n-you-need- to-know-about- kidney-stones. aspx
Guest guest
I have read that after juicing a beet, it should be put in the refrigerator for an hour before adding other veggies, such as carrots, celery, etc. and that this helps lower the level of oxalate. I also read that you should never drink beet juice straight.
