Guest guest
My best friend is a nurse (and taking master herbalist classes) and would like to know if anyone knows where to get this herb in it's natural state. Apparently the stuff in most health food stores is quite processed. In South America it also goes by the name lapacho and theebo. Thanks! Guest guest
> where to get this herb in it's natural state I think pau d'arco's 1 of the best herbs for cancer patients. My notes re: good brands: www.southernherb.com “reliable, good prices, all from Hanna Kroeger†www.pau-d-arco.com ( DeLongs) www.Princetea.com (good brand; $25/lb; affiliated w/ DeLongs) www.aomega.com/lforce/price.htm is good, economical brand Ideally use a decoction or tincture (rather than tablets or capsules). Guest guest
In 1992, it appeared that a combination of Cantron, vegetarian diet, Pao Darco, distilled water and rebounding allowed me to shrink lymphoma tumors in my neck down to nothing. Hard to know how much the Pao Darco had to do with the results, but it is apparently something useful for people with cancer to take, as well as people who wish to prevent their being diagnosed with cancer. I am with Leonard on the tincture. So often I see people wanting to get back to the fresh, raw, totally unprocessed item, when, in my opinion, unless they are highly skilled herbalists with a testing laboratory, they may very well end up not getting as good/strong a dose of the oil or decoction as they would if they sought out a reputable firm that supplies standardized, minimally processed tinctures. Guest guest
I get Pau de Arco tea bark in a bag from Creative Health in Greenville, SC. I love it. It is in a bag and I pay $9.99 per bag. Lasts forever. I have used it at the advice of my nutrionalistit after I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 . I did have a lumpectomy in March 2006 (because I had the biopsy so thus the cancer was already stirred up...) -- and it was found that my tumor was encapsulated and was unattached to the chest wall. Thankful for that. My mammogram and CT scan showed differently in 2005. I waited 5 months after my biopsy to have my surgery. We believe that it was on its way to dissipating entirely. I have had no chemo or radiation -- mainly because of other health issues --- we weighed all the risks. Anyway, everything I have read about Pau de Arco and Essiac Tea has convinced me that they are right on target -- certainly along with a mostly vegetarian lifestyle. I also think that Hoxsey Medical Center and Oasis of Hope Hospital are great places for alternative treatment. Guest guest
From what I have gleaned from one expert in Alternative Cancer treatment is that one needs to get a lot of Pau d' Arco into themselves. A one pound bag will last a long time but not if one is drinking it the way it should be prepared. I wouldn't use less than one cup of the grinds per gallon of water and I would make sure it is 'wild crafted' and Organic. Joe C.

Guest guest
Dear , I've a instant tea from tabebuia impetiginosa inner bark, processed to keep all the active ingredients in pau d'arco, called curadarco. We have also a 3% naphtoquinones (alpha and beta lapachone encapsulated in beta cyclodextrin) version for heavy cases... You can have a look on our website : www.curador.net with a video explaining how we developed it at the university http://www.curador.net/indexfr/mission/curador_medSm_Prog.wmv Have a great day founder and managing director of curador From: rockjacks50 Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2011 Hi, Can anyone tell me where to get the right kind of Pau D'Arco tea. I've been told it should be Tabebuia Avellandae or Impetiginosa. I am in Australia but can order from overseas if need be. Thanks
Guest guest
: Only the inner bark has the powerful anti fungal properties and must be separated from the outer bark. . I use the Alvita Brand. http://www.healthsuperstore.com/p-alvita-caffeine-free-tea-pau-darco-24-tea-bags\ ..htm Vic
