Last week recommended the powder and it makes sense because, I think,

extracting what is needed out of the bark has to be a bit harder.

Pacific Botanicals provides both the Powdered and Shredded forms and at no

different cost. I bought the shredded the previous time but am now using my

coffee grinder to break it down into powder.

It sure pays to search doesn't it? Apparently the prices are 'all over the

place' as was told me by someone else on this list.

Pacific certainly seems to be pricing it fairly.

thank you,

Pacific Botanicals are low priced on Pau d'arco if I read it right. I paid

$25.00 per pound at Raintree.

'Sometimes'. That opens up a whole range of possibilities but keep in mind

we're talking wood............ground up 'Inner Bark' not a manufactured process

made in an expensive Western Laboratory vs one from a peasant-laborer in China.

In addition, sad to say, there is probably the likelihood that the bark we are

getting is 'prepared' by peasant, if not child labor as is much of the Cocoa

produced for our consumption. You have a choice. Pay a lot of money for wood

or pay less and get no guarantee from the expensive one that you are getting

more for your money. Often times, you do get what you pay for...........an

expensive shafting. One has to decide whether their source is reliable or

not. I have decided that my source is and have purchased other herbs from

them.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Is there a difference in the quality of

the differently priced Pau D'Arco teas?

I don't know about the " reassurance " , but just some discussion about trust

because most of us do not have a laboratory at our disposal and cannot verify

supplements or teas. Your " sometimes " does have merit and sometimes it is

necessary to pay more for things but too often paying more amounts to just that.

Good luck and in about an hour.................it's more Pau d' Arco for me.
