Guest guest
Hi: Susie wrote: " About wine, the red wine is good because it's the red grape skins that contain something beneficial for the heart. I forgot what it's called.... " It is polyphenol. It is in red wine skins, grape seeds, pine bark/needles, and tea. It has 50 times the antioxidant capability of Vitamin E. It is extracted and available many places as grape seed extract or as pycnogenol. Pycnogenol is a trade name given to a process invented by a French scientist and costs 7 or 8 times as much as plain " grape seed " extract, but from what I can find out they are equivalent. Grape seed extract is one of my primary supplements. Jay
