Perhaps more accurate is that it helps you to normalize your weight. > It is funny that the article says to add nutrasweet, given that the focus of the drink is for people with aids who have major immune dysfunction. Maybe nutrasweet is a sponsor. : ) > I just would encourage everyone to NOT use artificial sweeteners of any kind. Frozen concentrate is bad stuff too. I would stay with fresh citrus. Also, the acid from lemons might be bad for the enamel on your teeth. I prefer grapefruit for liver flushes and it works well.

From: http://www.cs.aventis.com.au/horticulture/strawberries.htm " Strawberries are a mild astringent making them useful cleansing and toning agents on the skin, they are also a good tooth whitener. " There is a religious group or sect who bites into a lemon and sucks on it for long periods of time and the enamel of their teeth gets eaten away. But if I remember right, they begin this practice in early childhood when the teeth are in their formulation stages, and continue it on for several years. The same thing could occur if that was the way an orange, or grapefruit, or strawberry, were held. You lose much more tooth enamal from brushing your teeth with paste, powder, or any abrasive, including soda, than from ingesting lemons.
