Guest guest
I didn't know you could deep-fry a Klondike Bar, a square, but thick, slab of ice-cream covered with a chocolate covering, similar to an ice-cream pop and more the reason doctors will never run out of patients......not with that list of consumed fries. One of the things I've bugged my family about is the amount of colds/flu that develop immediately after big holidays and especially Halloween with the amount of candy consumed. I suppose if the County Fair was long enough and people visited more than once, doctor's offices would see an increase in visits. Joe C. But, every bell curve has two tails. Not a mile from the Center was the San Diego County Fair here in Del Mar. Today the newspaper reported the pertinent sales: 10,000 Deep-fried Twinkies consumed 12,000 Deep-fried Klondike Bars consumed 6,600 Deep-fried butter servings consumed I had no idea as I never go to fairs. If it is not too late I will go today. What are these things, who are these people and why would they put these things in their mouths? Elsewhere in the newspaper I learned that it takes five hours of knitting to burn off the calories from one Big Mac. I wonder who asked. Guest guest
Thanks for this great email! Indeed, it is a wonder beyond belief! And good to have a laugh as that's the best we can do with such information. (Also, I've lived in this area for many years, and never made it to the fair...I'd probably have to bring my own food for the day if I went!)Have fun!
