Guest guest
Oh gosh it has been a month now that my GB continues to act up. I am trying really hard not to take any meds because I think it will just put a strain on my liver. The concern I have is the constant pain I have in my back. It is either a 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 for pain. I went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago when it reached 8.5 (which is about what my labor was at). I do not have a fever. I have been eating very little. I tried juicing today and it was too gross for me. I just juiced one carrot, ½ med beet, 1 celery stalk and 6 ounces of apple juice (to kill the taste). I don't think I can juice again but a sincere thanks to Dale for his juice recipe. I just wish I could stomach the taste! I made Tabouli, (my recipe is 1 cup bulgur wheat, 1.5 cups chopped parsley which I grow myself, 2 ounces EV olive oil, salt, pepper, 1 to 2 cloves garlic, 2 tablespoons mint, 2 lemons, ½ chopped red onion). I can usually eat this until about 3:00 PM. If I eat it later than that then I have GB pain in the middle of the night. I have been drinking a lot of water and apple juice. I have been loosing weight because I can't eat! So now I am in a catch 22 because I know that rapid weight loss contributes to gallbladder formation. My hormones are also all screwed up because my 2 year old just stopped nursing so I am getting the " baby-blues " now. It is hard for me to excersize because of the pain but I do feel that stretching and bending " helps move things along " I have been taking Taurine, milk thistle, lethicin, fish oil, and magnesium several times daily. But, I just can't get rid of that pain in the center of my back. It feels like something is just stuck there but I have no jaundice or other symptoms indicating that something is really stuck. I cancelled my surgical appointment yesterday but stayed in bed all day. I am going to ask my PCP to refer me to a gastroenterologist - is that the type of doctor that I need for liver/gallbladder/pancreas and duct issues? I want to keep my gallbladder! What am I doing wrong? I am starting to loose hope that I can continue with the pain and keep my gallbladder. I wish there was a way for someone to just vacuum out my gallbladder and ducts! Can anyone offer some advice? I just want to get rid of the pain. Someone had mentioned a supplement they take at the first sign of pain that stopped it. I trudged through the archives for the past couple of weeks and could not find it again. Any suggestions. Naomi
Guest guest
Naomi, the one thing I wish I would have tried was colonics. Doesn't sound fun, but it does sound effective. I know how you are feeling. I don't know what the supplement is, but one capsule of cayenne and lobelia will help the pain. Don't take the lobelia without the cayenne or you will be nauseous. How many flushes have you done? It sounds like the liver is still having trouble functioning if you are having hormone problems. Good luck. Dawn who is thinking about doing a liver cleanse, maybe this month. > > What am I doing wrong? I am starting to loose hope that I can > continue with the pain and keep my gallbladder. Guest guest
Congrats to you Naomi. That is incredible that you had the stamina to stick it out. I hope you have total success and that you can be an inspiration to others. Dawn > Finally! I feel better. The pain has finally stopped. But it took > an entire month.
