Artemisinin is the basic version...

but there is a compounded stronger version " Artemix "   made with two other

synthesized versions of artemisinin:Artemisinin,

Artemether, and Artesunate)

Artemix contains all three of the drugs

These work stronger  and not the same  as artemisinin  in the gut.

Artemether is the only  component in the group that reacts to food (iron) in

the gut..    So taken with Yoghurt on empty stomach is advised...

See  instructions  below from Dr. Singh ( Washington University)

" Artemix from Wellcare (www.hepalin.com) may be taken 3-4 hours after dinner

with a cup of milk or spoonful of ice cream (without flavors or

additives e.g. Brayers natural vanilla) and once a week with few spoons of

yogurt (having fat, but no flavors or fruits) with live

lactobacillus. The purpose of giving 3-4 hour interval after evening

meal is to make sure stomach is almost empty, as the drug interacts

with the iron contents of food. "

Yes Cheryl if you are taking  normal artemisinin it is  1 capsule

morning and night so twice a day with food.

I take the stronger version Artemix.   That is only  1  time a day

and on empty stomach.

I have talked to the doctors/founds of Artemisinin at Washington

University and have  their information and many published  details about taking

artemisinin.

Yes.  Only the Artemether reacts with iron in the stomach.

Ok I think I understand. I have artemisia from nutri cology it only

contains which is a concentrated extract of the leaves of artemisia

annua. So that would be taken with food?

I have read so much on this but can't find anyplace about if you should

take Iron or not while taking Artemisinin. I have it and want to start

taking but I'm unsure about the iron deal.

Also, while on this should you also take liver cleanse?

Thanks!

There is no  need to supplement  the diet with iron while on artemisinin.

Enough iron in diet is sufficient.
