How does one know if they are having a conversion problem? I hate having to

depend on Synthroid for the rest of my life. I have symptoms of low thyroid

but my traditional tests are normal.

The only way to really tell is by having Free T3 and Free T4 tests run.

However, the Free T3 test is not reliable because T3 is very short lived

in the body.

If you still have thyroid symptoms even after your blood tests are

normal, you can ask to supplement with a T3 medication such as cytomel

(synthetic) or Armour (T4, T3, T2, T1). Or, look at your adrenals. Or,

understand that your symptoms may be coming from something else.
