Ipecac syrup is a common remedy to induce vomiting. Although I don't think I would use it even when I am having a bad attack. My body just decided when it had enough. I have ipecac syrup in my medicine cabinet at all times because I have children and it is strongly recommended to have ipecac syrup available in case they ingest poison and the Dr. or poison controll tells the parent to give it to the child to induce vomiting. The syrup is safe for children over the age of 6 months. The tinture is more potent and not recommended for children. Any pharmacy would have it with the baby first aid stuff. Here is something I found on the 'net that gives more information about ipecac. http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/g2603/0004/2603000457/p1/article.jh tml Naomi
Guest guest
There is information about ipecac syrup at the website listed below. I posted it at the bottom of my first response but the last 3 letters did not get included in the link. If it is not " clickable " just copy and paste the entire address into your address field. www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/g2603/0004/2603000457/p1/article.jhtml Naomi
