Guest guest
Hi Folks, Barbara here reporting in on my 7 week saga with IDC breast cancer. I got the results from my lumpectomy and partial lymph node dissection yesterday. I really need some help, advice and thoughts about what to do next. They want to take a larger batch of lymph nodes out of my arm and upper breast area. Then of course, start radiation and likely chemo. I really, really want to manage this as naturally as possible and absolutely want to avoid the radiation and chemo if at all possible. I donated a kidney 3 years ago, so I only have one and don't like poisons in my body at any time. The lump was 1.7cm It was IDC stage 2A It was ER and PR positive It was HER2 negative One of two lymph nodes taken from my arm pit had " traces " of the cancer cells I'm 49, have always been very active, fit, slim, healthy, a non-smoker and for the last 20 years had what I thought was a good diet, i.e. no sugar or sweets and extremely little wheat (bread, pasta etc). I don't get vaccinations, flu shots or take any prescription medications - don't even take aspirin or other chemicals. I have a fairly low stress life and work for myself. I have been peri-menopausal for the last 5 years with major symptoms of estrogen dominance (like catamenial gastric seizures coinciding with menses each month. That, I learned myself to control with foods containing estrogen blockers and not eating foods with natural estrogens for week prior each month. My allopathic doctor has been. well let's just say less than helpful or even interested in any of that, despite my insistence that I was in trouble. 7 weeks ago, when the last ultrasound was done before the biopsy, I changed my life completely to fight what we could see on the ultrasound was cancer. Joined this list, changed my diet to all organic veg and fruits with a little wild caught salmon and some free range chicken occasionally, put myself on the budwig protocol, got and have been taking about 15 supplements as recommended here, got rid of my underwire bras, have been getting TCM acupuncture and seeing energy workers. I closed my business and my complete focus is to work on me and get rid of this cancer. I keep very fit and active. Have low/healthy blood pressure, 100% blood oxygen and low cholesterol. Three days before surgery, just after MRI, I had my surgeon compare the MRI size of the tumor with the original ultrasound size. The surgeon was surprised and agreed with me that I had shrunk the tumor. They actually changed (lessened) the surgery to an ultrasound guided lumpectomy and partial lymph node dissection without drains, based on that 4 week change in the size. I believed I could do it, and I did! OK - HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS: The hospital can only recommend the next surgery and won't discuss other options. They also said that the oncologist that will be assigned to me won't see me until the extended surgery is done! (the allopathic machine is stupid, routine, impersonal and cruel if you ask me). Anyway, what are your thoughts on putting my one-kidney body through another operation and taking a whole batch more lymph nodes out versus working to clear my lymph system with a strict holistic approach and biological treatments? What would be the best biological treatments in your opinions? Can I avoid radiation and chemo? If I'm both ER and PR positive, is hormone therapy a good idea? What else should I be asking? What are your thoughts and opinions PLEASE!!! Thank you so much everyone, Barbara
