I started this list after large amount of questions I got about Candidiasis. So , here we are. Is anyone taking lactobacillis? Yes, Lactobacilus bacteria is very good in keeping Candida under control. There are many different products out there, and the main concern of users is how this bacteria survive Stomach Acid and Bile from the liver. This bacteria naturaly live inside Small intestine and inside colon. But to get there through mouth, it must survive stomach juices and Bile and pancreatic digestion juices. Experts say that at least one in the milion will survive, and will fastly multiply itself if not killed by the chemicals produced by yests (candida overgrowth). Yeasts and bacteria are in the constant war. Chemical war. So far there is a ballance, everything is OK. Once one of them grow too mmuch, there is a problem. It often happend when we kill all bacteria with antibiotics , either from the pills,(treatment) or from the foods that we eat. Almost all modern foods contains unnatural antibiotics (except organically grown foods). That is how it happen Candidiasis. So, use those bacteria, you can't take too much, as long you have candidiasis. For the rest of information you can see this page: http://home.sol.no/~dusan/candida.html Best of health: Dusan Stojkovic Norway

(I will slowly increase these anti-fungals). I'm new to this list too and diagnosed myself with candida a month ago and started with the diet 3 weeks ago. greetings Maaike (from Holland living in Houston, Texas.) Guest guest
What part of aulstraila is that? i have friends n Adaliade and in sydney which are you closer to? also if you can, get your hands on " What your doctor may not tell you about Fibermyalgia. " it's by Dr Amand. don't remember his first name. iam reading it now,a nd it says that CFS, candida and FM really need to be renamed,a ndin fact they are goingthrough a proces snow in europe to get it changed to a unversal name, becaus of how closely related they are. If nothing else you should let your doctor read it. when i am done Iam going to ket my doctor read it. he is really great about trying to help me get better not in trying to push drugs on me. Good luck. ------- It's not that life's too short, it's that we're dead so long. Hi I am new Well, I have not as yet been diagnosed. But I think I have it pretty bad from the questionaires and other information on the internet. I have seen my regular doctor already but he can't help me, because he does not believe that any useful tests for candida exist, especially where I am. I live in Canberra, Australia. Is there anyone from Australia here, who could tell me where I could get tested? Or any replies on what kind of strategies work to get a testing or prescription of the drug to see if it works? Because, after following this diet and dietary supplements my health has improved. But when I take in sugar then my skin is very itchy again etc... Thanks for any comments. Guest guest
Heike, You really dont need to be tested. If the diet and the supplements are working for you they wont hurt you if you dont have Candida. And the worse thing that would happen is you will end up healthy *grin* Heike Herald wrote: > Well, I have not as yet been diagnosed. Guest guest
there are a lot of herbal treatments that are anti fungal. Garlic is one of them but darned if i can remember them all at the moment! lol, sorry:) i know lots of people out there can answer that for you. I think it would be safe to say that just as many people kick this with herbs as do a prescription med Heike Herald wrote: > I live quite close to Sydney. I don't know about the marshmellow. Could it be the herb that marshmellows are made from? And yes, they did mean to " insert " the garlic. So do be careful to hang it on a string. Since I don't have vaginal problems, I didn't do this, so I can't comment on if it works. But I do take loads of garlic orally, about 3 to 4 grams a day. yuck indeed, but if it works...? Guest guest
They are talking about the herb marshmallow, not the food marshmallows. At one time marshmallows were actually made from the marshmallow plants roots, long, long ago. But food marshmallows currently are just a mixture of sugar, eggs and gelatin and have been for years. You can buy the herb marshmallow in most natural foods stores. lindaj@... I have had two back surgeries; one that got rid of my leg pain, but not my back pain. and a three level spinal fusion that basically has done nothing for me. this is a great group full of very helpful people in all aspects of back and neck pain. so ask away, and if you need to vent we're here to listen. take care rob from yorktown, va >From: " Babs " <barbnal@...> >Reply-neck pain ><neck pain > >Subject: Hi I am new >Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 12:55:08 -0500 > >Hello everyone, thanks for letting me be a part of this group. Guest guest
HI BARBARA, Welcome to the group. It's good to have you as a part of this group. It sounds like you have a full plate and then some. If you have not already done so you really do need to find a good lawyer [or a company that acts as a social security disability advocate] to handle your ssdi case. Someone who only handles social security cases would be best as they have all the knowledge needed to get the results that you need. You really do not stand a chance of getting your ssdi without a lawyer. I certainly do not intend to discourage you in any way it's just the way things work. I tried for 2 years on my own to get ssdi and was denied. I appealed for a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge and was assigned to a man that has a reputation of being a fair judge. I had my hearing on Oct.13th. {by the way it took a year for me to get my hearing after I sent in my paperwork for the hearing request} I'm waiting for the results of my hearing and should have it in the next few days. My attorney has said that he'd be extremely surprised if I did not win my case and get my benefits. Hang in there and keep on fighting. You stand a chance to win if you get an attorney to take care of your case for you. An attorney can get all the stuff that you will need to fight for your ssdi.{medical records ,etc} I hope that I have been able to give you some encouragement. MAY YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY THAN TODAY AND NOT AS GOOD A DAY AS TOMORROW. TAKE AS BEST CARE AS YOU CAN AND BE SAFE.
