Guest guest
This place has very good inner bark only Pau D'arco, and sells it at a very low price. I used it and it tastes just like all the others. http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Mountain_Rose_Herbs > > I'm trying to find reputable sources to purchase Pau D'arco tea that supply the high quality product... > It is known that Pau D'arco is an herb that is derived from the inner bark of the tree. Guest guest
You can also try Pacific Botanicals and they too provide both the powdered and course supply of Pau d' Arco as well as a lot of other herbs. I have used this group many times. Just beware of those that overcharge and be fooled by the old 'you get what you pay for' thought. Joe C. Guest guest
I am now thoroughly confused. I have been buying Pau-D-Arco as a powder and making it into a tea as per directions. On the Raintree site they are selling it strictly as a tincture. Can someone please shed light as to how Pau D'Arco is to be bought and used? Guest guest
You buy the Pau d' Arco grinds...............powdered is supposedly best to work with, and make a tea out of it. A Cup to a gallon of distilled/purified water slow boiled in a SS pot for 25- 30 minutes. It is difficult to filter without getting lots of grinds so one can 'decanter' it as suggested to me. I first strain it through a very fine SS filter and then decanter it a couple of times. I also remember 's advice......... " Drink copious amounts " . I also think I recall mentioning Pacific Botanicals as a source but maybe someone can let us know if that is a correct recollection. You clearly want a 'bulk' source because at $25.00 a pound the price is steep (no tea pun intended) and I do clearly recollect stating that prices are " all over the place " so don't be turned off by what appears to be reasonable prices. Guest guest
I found an old glass percolator in the basement. It was my mother's probably from the 50's and I use it to percolate my tea. It is perfect as the grinds stay in the basket. Showed it to he said it was awsome because percolating it is like in a chemistry lab. If you google " glass percolator " you will find it anywhere from antique shops to a repro at Target. My percolator is made all of glass including the insert and the basket. I have been making the tea fro quite some time but on one of the sites that someone supplied it said that tincture is best and not to buy the powder. This was confusing. Guest guest
Sounds like you have something in the percolator. Never saw glass insides too and I'm ancient. Forget the tincture stuff and stay with the tea. You do not know the strength of the tincture or whether or not what you need is in the tincture. Guest guest
IT is not glass *in the percolator* The percolator is made out of glass. Looks like this http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-PYREX-Flameware-Glass-Percolator-7756-MIB-/230480149\ 739?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 but you can find a new one with plastic handle and insert for much less at target. http://www.target.com/s/183-7907031-8972433?_encoding=UTF8 & CPNG=Home & LID=6352920\ 1 & search-alias=tgt-index & keywords=coffee_glass_percolator & ref=tgt_adv_XSYH0808 & s\ earchNodeID=1038576|1287991011 & AFID=com & searchPage=1 & LNM=coffee_glass_perco\ lator On Mon, Aug 23, 2010 at 11:04 PM, JoeCastron <jcastron1@...> wrote: > > > Sounds like you have something in the percolator. Guest guest
Greetings, Corning made the percolators and tea pots out of glass. I cried when my last one broke, they made fabulous coffee. I would buy one if I could find it. However, good stainless percolators are available from Lehmans.com, as well as glass drip coffee makers, if you can afford them. Guest guest
If you google corning glass percolator you will find many 2nd hand sources selling them at wildly different prices. There are also newer versions with plastc insert instead of glass. I found mine in the basement but have since then googled it to find for others. It really works great for the pau d'arco tea because the grinds stay in the basket and you do not have to strain. Guest guest
Please, if anyone knows if there is any way to buy this tea in Taiwan. Or may be order it online to be shipped to Taiwan? We have a dear friend in Taiwan who has a bad case of cancer. We would like very much to help him. I appreciate very much your help and looking forward to hear from you. ________________________________ From: nili gitig Sent: Monday, August 23 Gammill recommends www.pau-d-arco.com 503 717 2308 that is who I buy from. Guest guest
Joe, I was purchasing Pau D'arco from Pacific Botanicals. However, what got me suspicious is the fact that their price for Pau D'arco is 5 times cheaper than everyone else's. Also they don't provide any detailed information about their product, neither send you any instructions on how to use it. Do you have any information on the fact that this is the company that we can trust? I never heard mentioning this company. He gave me a brochure from www.pau-d-arco.com. This website doesn't sell any Pau D'arco, however this is very informative site and that's where I got my initial education on Pau D'arco from. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your post. The brochure that I got from you (http://www.pau-d-arco.com) says that even though the outer bark looks and smells the same, it's essentially useless products. And I rather pay more for the product that I know will be beneficial to me. However, the sad thing is, the regular consumer can't tell the difference if it's inner bark or outer bark or a mix. Can you recommend a supplier that you trust? Thanks, Yana (Hanna) > > > > > > > I'm trying to find reputable sources to > > purchase Pau D'arco tea that supply > > > > the high quality product... > > > > It is known that Pau D'arco is an herb that > > is derived from the inner bark > > > > of the tree. Guest guest
Prince Imports, Inc., P.O.Box 2507, Gearhart, Oregon 97138 has really good Pau d'Arco (www.princetea.com) (100% Tabebula Avellanedae). I have several 1 lb. bags of the tea and it appears to be really good stuff and was recommended to me as such. --Jim

Guest guest
I buy from rain-tree.com. They tell you whether the item you want is organic, sustainable, etc. I find their products of good quality and not horribly expensive. It's founder Dr. knows about her products. She was in Texas before but has moved to Nevada. I am not sure if she still does consultations. If you have doubts on product to buy, call them. > > > > > I'm trying to find reputable sources to purchase Pau D'arco tea that supply > > > the high quality product... > > > It is known that Pau D'arco is an herb that is derived from the inner bark > > > of the tree.
