Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'm new to the list and have only done one flush. no problems with my GB but my levels are too high even after taking fish oil for a year and changing my diet mildly only lowered it from low to mid 300's to 268 so i thought i'ld try this . >>>>>>>>>>>> ; This cholesterol level sounds pretty darn scarry. Shoot, 268 is bad enought but to imagine a count of over 300 is even scarrier. http://www.bodyalivehealth.com/products/cholesterol_solution.cfm Taking fish oil is certainly a good start regarding the intake of essential fatty acids but there are more varieties of essential fatty acids one can take to help in the removing of excess cholesterol and work at getting the liver retrained as to just how much cholesterol to produce. Exercise and good eating go hand in hand with getting the body to a point where the the liver takes on its new settings for the amounts of cholesterol to produce and the types of choleseterol it produces. We need cholesterol but it's only when it's too much of a good thing that it becomes a bad thing. http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/fff8a.htm Are you also envolved with an exercise program? http://www.viewnews.com/2001/VIEW-Jun-27-Wed-2001/SWest/16367016.html Adding lecithin and taurine to the diet will help with the correcting of the liver's production of cholesterol and bile to help get cholesterol out of the body, but important to all of this is the intake of soluble and insoluble fiber to help carry the bile containing the cholesterol out of the body in a timely fashion, before too much of it gets reabsorbed in the intestines. http://arbl.cvmbs.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/digestion/liver/bile.html Dropping high cholesterol levels isn't easy but then too it's not considered impossible as there are also some other alternative measures to do to get the liver and gallbladder stimulated to release more bile, and if you have bile stones, to have them move out too. You've already noted having done a flush and that certainly is a great place to start. Next and really the first should be to detoxify the liver. This gets it setup to start dealing with the need of removing the excess cholesterol. Detoxing the liver can be done just by eating the right food combinations, but doing such things as colonics and enemas can help to get the stimulation the liver needs to help it dump the toxins without the normal passage of fiber and fats. When we eat something toxic to a point that there is a physical reaction such as diarrhea it's because the liver is functioning to get out toxins at an excelerated rate. Often times it can be noted that this reaction may go to a point where there is just a yellowish green water coming out. That's bile being dumped, fast, from the liver and it can occur with colonics or enemas once someone has cleared the bowels of matter. So, , Welcome to this group, and best wishes on your progression to your desired results. There are more things that can be said and done but I think this is enough reading for now. Guest guest
thanks for the info Dale , do you have any experience with the product policosanol ? i will have to read more about it . as per exercising , i'm pretty active , slightly overweight at 200lbs but my problem mostly is wrong eating habits and too much of it ! walk about 2 miles a day and ride a bike about 3 miles every other day. usually i do a 30 minute workout before bathing and going to bed . This is done with light dumbbells but i would consider them stretches. I have added most of these to my daily life after the last reading of 268 ( was kinda scared that my doctor was going to put me on lipitor ) so i thought i would try a few things first. You know how Newman and Seinfeld are constantly whispering uder their breaths each others names? I can picture some on this list whispering with a tone. " IRA " !!!. Sorry Ira. Guest guest
Haha!! And regarding your earlier post on diet, yes, not everyone cares about eating healthy. I think there are folks with stronger constitutions that can get away with it more than others. It catches up eventually in one way or another. Then there are those of us who have more sensitive systems and have to be more careful. Even then, our bodies will not go on forever and will catch up with us...but maybe not as quickly as would have. Take care, claudia ----- Original Message ----- From: " azdmarie " <nortons@...> <gallstones > Sent: Friday, August 09, 2002 1:02 PM Subject: Re: livatone (liver tonic > I had to giggle .
