Guest guest
Hi Janine Interesting to read the protocol of your friends husband. I have metastatic rectal cancer that had spread to the Sacrum, Liver, then Lungs. After starting on my 3rd line of biweekly chemotherapy (Erbitux, 5FU, Camptosar – with a 48 pump of 5FU) and weekly Erbitux things finally stabilized which my Oncologist suggested resulted from the current protocol. However, right before starting this treatment, I saw an Integrative Oncologist (Dr. Gaynor http://www.gaynoroncology.com/ ) who reviewed all of my medical records and prescribed some supplements. He did some blood tests that my regular Oncologist didn't do (Vitamin D, T2, T3, B12, etc) and prescribed about 20 supplements ). Each supplement was specific by brand - he obviously read studies about potency and efficacy of specific brands (he’s very well known and has written several books. The stability in my condition was 1 month into the current treatment along with this added protocol. I didn’t have much faith in the new protocol because as you move down the line, the treatments are supposed to be less promising. Well 3 weeks after my last CT, I had a PET scan that showed that my rectum, sacrum and lungs no longer lit up (no tumors!), while the liver still was stable. So I thought I would share my supplement protocol with the group. In addition, I added several other things to the protocol that I listed that are at the end of the list and noted: -Jarrow Reseveratrol 100mg per day -Solgar b12 500mg per day -Solgar Grape Seed Extract 100mg per day -Doctors Best Flucoidan 1 capsule per day -Completely Green Embryo (wheat Germ Extract) – 2 capsules per day (can only purchase at this store in NYC http://www.vitahealthrx.com All other “Completely Green Products are only available at that store. They ship for free. I would only buy Completely Green products there and buy the others wherever you find the best price online. Tell them you are a patient of Dr Gaynor and they should discount by about 10%. Its possible the Doctor contracted with a manufacturer in Europe (from Bulgaria) so that he can ensure purity. Completely Green Pectin – 2 caps per day Completely Green Rosemaria – 2 caps per day Completely Green Shitake – 2 caps per day Completely Green Immunal – 2 caps per day Completely Green Phytoformula – 1 scoop per day mized with juice Completely Green Red Formula – 1 scoop per day mixed with juice AVE wheat Germ extract – 1 teaspoon per day mixed with juice Maitake D Fraction 6000mg – 25 drops in juice twice a day Solgar Selenium – 200mcg per day PeakImmune4 – 2 caps, twice per day Pure Encapsulations Vitamin D – 1000mg per day Jarrow Alpha Lipoic Acid (w/Biotin) – 300mg per day Nordic Naturals PRO Efa – 1 cap per day . Nutricology Russian Choice GI – 1 cap per day Co-E1 NADH – 1 cap per day New Chapter Zyflamed – 2 cap 2 times per day NOW L-Carnitine 500mg – 1 cap per day 2-3 cups of green tea per day Fresh Vegetable Juice Recipe (doctor recommended 3x per week, I do at least 2x per day) 1 Beet 2 carrots 2 celery stalks 1 apple ½ cup watercress ½ cup broccoli Other things I take that were recommended by others -PAN alone – a very high potency proteolytic enzyme that includes a Pancreatic Concentrate and Chymotripsin. Can only be purchased at (www.designsforhealth.com) Dr. Gaynor recommended Wobenzyme but I decided to take this instead. 1 capsule is supposed to be the equivalent of 70 Wobenzyme capsules! (recommended by an integrative MD who used to work in the Acupuncture department at Sloan Kettering. I take 1 capsule 1 hour before every meal and 1 at bedtime. - PEKANA Basic Detox and Drainage Kit – 25 drops of each tincture 2x per day to detox the body -Cimetidine (generic Tagamet) – 400mg 2x per day (morning and evening) – Studies have shown that this helps slow the growth of tumors. A top colorectal surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian recommended this to me (an Americas Top Dr in NY Magazine and Castle Connolly) - Graviola – Did my own research on this one: http://www.graviolaleaves.com/. I use a brand Maximum International Graviola 750 available at Vitamin Shop online - Nutraceutical AHCC – 1000mg (2 caps) at least 1 time per day - Whey protein shake – at least once per day. Try to limit tropical fruits (that have a high sugar content). I add frozen berries and Organic Soy or Rice Milk -Low Dose Naltrexone (read about it here <http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/> – just started taking. Needs to be prescribed by a physician and you should have filled by a reliable pharmacy. The website gives physicians and pharmacies that prescribe through phone consults if one isn’t neat you. Insurance usually covers this (I have Express Scripts) - A LOT OF PRAYER and GUIDED IMAGERY It’s a lot of stuff and it isn’t cheap (must be about roughly $700 per month), but what is the alternative? Let me know if you have any questions. My body easily tolerates this stuff and have zero symptoms of disease, only very little GI symptoms from chemo . Notice that its all food based and since they are recommended by an Oncologist who also integrates this with chemo, there are no contraindications (at least with the chemo I am taking). If you want suggestions on where to get the lowest price for any of the items, please let me know. I am a pro at finding the lowest price on the web. Regards dan From: Janine I don't have cancer but the husband of a friend does. She asked me to see if I could get wholesale any of the products the Dr. has her husband take.............<snip>
Guest guest
Dan, Your story sounds almost just like mine. here is some good information , especailly for you in NY. This I understand via medicare/medicaid does not go through the normal network marketing , . Dennis Immunocal might be reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance programs in some states. Currently, Ohio, New Jersey, Minnesota, Nevada, and New York have established reimbursement guidelines, and decisions in 18 states are currently pending. Although the purchase of bioactive whey protein does not require a doctor's prescription, a prescription is required for reimbursement coverage under Medicare and Medicaid. NOTE: Immunocal has it's own NDC (National Drug Control) registry number: 28770-0970-01, and *is in the process of being approved on a state-by-state basis* for reimbursement. The code for Medicare is: B4155. In some of these states (notably New York State and California), Immunocal is available without restriction on Medicaid. In other states, the physician must be willing to write a letter of necessity in addition to writing a prescription for it to be reimbursed. It meets the requirements for enteral nutritional supplements which are covered by Medicare/Medicaid for nutritional management of the patient. This is available for general practitioners to prescribe. For Medicare patients, current coverage is limited to Naso-Gastric (NG) tube feedings, but Medicaid is much less restrictive. Medicaid has broader prescribing parameters for both oral as well as tube-feeding nutritional management. Immunocal one of the few nutritional supplements to be listed in the year 2000 through 2008 edition of the prestigious Physicians' Desk Reference (PDR). Physicians have relied on the PDR for up-to-date information on prescription drugs for over 50 years. The PDR is considered the standard prescription drug reference and can be found in virtually every physician's office, hospital, and pharmacy in the United States. The inclusion of this product in the PDR is a reflection of it's credibility within the medical community, and is also a result of Immunocal's recognition by Medicare and Medicaid. For questions regarding reimbursement procedures in your State, please contact your State office of Medicare or Medicaid, or contact your private insurance plan provider directly
