Guest guest
Hi , I too have an appointment with the surgeon next week. But I am going to cancel my appointment. I am determined to keep my gallbladder! I would encourage you to take charge of your body and your health. I am a 34 yr old overweight mother of two and I am taking charge. I am doing Dr. Cabot's Liver Cleansing Diet and taking supplements to shrink whatever stones I have over a period of time. I just do not want to have it out. I see this most recent gallbladder attack as a wake up call to me that I have to change the way I eat and I have to loose weight. My Dad just passed away a couple of months ago and the autopsy showed that one of his arteries was completely closed and two were 90% clogged. I have the same eating habits as him and it is time for me to make a change. Whatever your decision is just be 100% sure that is what YOU want. And just be prepared. I have had the doctors and nurses questioning my desire to keep my gallbladder as if I am crazy because no one else has ever questioned them. I get all the horror stories about how if I do not do it now they will have to take it out in emergency surgery in the middle of the night if I get gangrene. Well I am in charge of my health and I am not going to let it get to that point. Do you have access to a holistic doctor? You may have to ask around to find one. I was actually referred to a holistic doctor by my primary care physician because she knew how strongly I felt about not having my gallbladder removed. The holistic doctor is covered by my health insurance as a second opinion for my gallbladder surgery. (BTW and his opinion is that I can keep my GB) , good luck with whatever you decide!
