Guest guest
When I was in the middle of my gallbladder attack last week I emailed Dr. Cabot through her website. I just got a response today from someone at her site. I will attach it below. I hope you find the information helpful. (Sheree Ward) Hi Generally speaking the gall bladder becomes diseased or dysfunctional because the liver is producing unhealthy bile. The bile is either toxic or contains excess amounts of fat and bacteria. To improve gall bladder problems, we must improve the quality of the bile, by improving the liver function. Even after the gall bladder is removed there may still be problems in the bile ducts inside & outside the liver. This is because the underlying problem of toxic bile has not been corrected. Indeed after gall bladder removal the following things may still happen - Stones & gravel may form in the bile ducts inside & outside the liver The liver may develop fatty changes Thus it is important to take extra care of your liver if you have gall bladder problems, or if you have had your gall bladder removed. For gall bladder problems (such as stones & chronic inflammation/infection) and toxic bile, I recommend the following - Follow the way of eating on pages 20 to 28 of my " Healthy Liver & Bowel Book " Avoid all dairy products - see www.notmilk.com Dairy products, margarine & deep fried foods are the worst thing for your gall bladder & liver Drink plenty of water throughout the day Drink raw vegetable juice everyday - see good juice recipes in the Healthy Liver & Bowel Book Raw juicing is vitally important Take the natural supplements - " MSM Plus Vitamin C powder " - one teaspoon daily in raw juices " Livatone Plus " powder - ½ tsp twice daily in juices, or 2 capsules twice daily with food " FiberTone " powder - 1 to 2 tsp with breakfast If you have had gall bladder stones for some years and they cause minimal discomfort, you may want to do a gall bladder flush with olive oil & citrus juice, as discussed in my Healthy Liver & Bowel Book. If however, your stones are causing severe or acute discomfort, the gall bladder flush would be too severe for you. Some people with large stones in the gall bladder will never have any problems, and should not rush into surgery. In such cases you may want to try and dissolve the stones gradually over several years by following the Healthy Liver & Bowel Book diet, and taking the supplements above. Of course you will also be doing your liver a good service, as you will be removing the unhealthy fats from the liver. You may be suffering with chronic infections because your immune system is weakened and over loaded. To reduce the workload of the immune system it is vital to improve the liver function. Thus you need to follow the way of eating on pages 20 to 30 of the " Healthy Liver & Bowel Book " . You also need to take " Livatone Plus " ----- powder, half a teaspoon twice daily in juices, or 2 capsules twice daily with food. Raw vegetable juices are vital and to achieve an antibiotic effect, I suggest that you add one to ½-1 cloves of raw garlic, 1/4 small onion, quarter of an inch of ginger root, and some radish to each of your juice bases. A good juice base is carrot, celery, apple, and beet, although feel free to add any raw vegetable or fruit that you enjoy. Apple & pear are good at disguising the taste of the garlic and onion. Natural antibiotic supplements to fight infections are --- " MSM Plus Vitamin C " powder - half a teaspoon twice daily in juice " OliveLife " capsules (oliveleaf extract) - one capsule three time daily, with food " Selenomune " powder - one teaspoon daily in juices You must avoid foods that contain high counts of bacteria, fungi and viruses - these are all dairy products, preserved meats, delicatessen meats, hamburger meats, smoked meats, and processed or junk foods. This is because these foods will trigger or exacerbate your infections.
