Wow ,

I think you are my long lost twin!

What an encouraging letter!

Jim, I think you ask such smart questions and your questions are helping

hundreds of others in this battle. THANK YOU!

Like you , I started as a one-person clinic 20 years ago at 23 years old! I

was supposedly terminal then. I was also trained as an R.N. I continued my

journey and overcame 5 cancers from 23-33 years old and a daughter with lymphoma

during that time (completely healed - she is 17 today). At times, I had more

questions than answers, met people more interested in selling me vitamins than

teaching me the whys and introducing me to others fighting but now, I truly am

blessed with all those tools.

I fought my way to becoming a metabolic typing advisor (the founder healed from

pancreatic cancer - that got my attention).

Became a clinical nutritionist (you are what you eat and absorb)

Decided to continue on to Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (to have labs analyze

people's (and mine) saliva, urine and blood for more information)

Two years ago, our then 16 year old son was diagnosed with a bone tumor above

his knee.......the kind you amputate and die of chemo many times! Well, at this

point with our second child afflicted (we have four children), we had experience

and practical knowledge. Nic is 18.5 years old today, has his leg and can feel

it! He has done a full basketball season and has no tumor........

All these hurdles, all this fear put to good use, all these

questions....................especially, all these hopeless comments thrown at

me were put to good use! Many refrained from being my friend because they told

me I was going to die anyway. Who do you know that recovered from a brain tumor?

No, my husband refused chemo and radiation for me. He told me to tough it out!

So today, I am whole (no more breast cancer, no more cervical cancer, no more

ovarian cancer, no more melanoma and no more brain tumor!).

This group has been my lifeline at times. No, I did not blindly choose to follow

the herd here. I chose to learn and fight my way through.

Never stop fighting!

Bless you all!

Good for you Jim. I applaud your search for the truth and your courage in

battling this terrifying thing called cancer.

You know, I announced in the chemo room some weeks back to the nurses at my

hospital that I had 90 days to cure myself. I also took a flyer off the bulletin

board and staged a little protest. See, I had called the number on the flyer a

month before, but the flyer failed to mention that once they screen you and they

discover that you are a " Stage IV, " you are not qualified to participate in

their little yoga and stress reduction study. Instead of the nurses empowering

me, they treated me like I was whacked. Before I knew it they had railroaded me

over to the cancer support group where 75% of the people are compliantly going

along with their diagnoses. I am now boycotting the support group and now take a

private yoga class during that time.

My support group is this group. And I empower you Jim to speak the TRUTH. I want

the truth as well. When my daughter was 16 years of age and I was told I had 6

months to live, all I wanted to do was to see her graduate from high school. She

is now an honor student in college and is getting a double degree. She just got

all A's on her exams.

I haven't made a lot of friends at times because I pushed the envelope. I was

beyond pushy. I demanded answers and sometimes got them. Often, I got more

questions then answers.

We are not going to know exactly what is going to work on our individual

cancers, but we have a good shot at this thing if we keep at it.

I apologize to you for blowing you off when I first came on board this website.

I was skeptical of people wanting to sell me supplements. I have now found this

site does not promote salesmen, it promotes genuine individuals who are

desperately and courageously trying to save their lives and perhaps the lives of

their loved ones.

If you are ever in Portland, Oregon, I would love to show you my one-woman

healing clinic (I am the only patient at this time! Ha! Ha!). And if I kick this

thing, I will open it to the public. Right now, I am in the same boat as you.

Please keep demanding answers and the TRUTH. Get to the bottom of things. Keep

pushing. And if people don't like it, well then that's their problem.

I find that when people stonewall they often dont' know the answers. Their

defensiveness comes from a lack of research and scientific training.

I was trained as an R.N. (though I decided against finishing my degree) and have

a strong background in science. I love science and I too have to know the

chemical workings of things. It has to be PROVEN to me.

Sincerely,

Dorr

Jim,

You might try again. As you say, he does respond quickly.

I sent Duncan an email once and he responded pretty quickly. I think he has a

naturopathic practice in British Columbia, Canada. My specific question to him

dealt with his opinion on antioxidants and the Budwig protocol. He did not

answer that directly (I don't think he had an answer) but rather told me a bit

about his protocol, which involves his modified Budwig approach, oxygenation,

and cesium chloride. As I didn't really have the money to pursue this, I didn't

follow up on the correspondence.

It has been very interesting to read everybody's comments on my phone while I

was in training about suicide bombers today....amazing!

I know that we all have our own passionate views on the healing process and

those of us that have fought or are fighting well so far are even more

passionate!

I have met many over the last 20 years that have fought this fight. One guy had

terminal liver cancer and got well taking loads of bloodroot! Another one with

lymphoma got well drinking only Pau D'Arco..........

Many give positive testimonies of the Budwig protocol and yes, I personally

advised many to do just that and they recovered!

Personally, it took me many years to figure out why I was not healing so

quickly. I had many things to learn.......for one, I believe that the root of

this is emotional for me. Before I turned 22 years old, I had a life of intense

abuse of every kind. I stayed strong but internalized the trauma. I married my

American husband and moved far away from the people that hurt me. Right then,

the brain tumor was diagnosed! As a Canadian R.N., I was trusting the people

that had more knowledge to help me even if the prognosis was bleak. Thankfully

for me, the tumor stayed stable for 5 years before my body just manifested more

tumors!

I first went to a nutritionist once I made the decision to tackle things

naturally. She was of the belief that all meat kills cancer-afflicted people. I

went vegan vegetarian for the next 10 years. The tumor GREW! It started out at

3mm and went to 11mm. Now I did not have much space to give this thing. The

headaches, seizures and other pesky effects were hard to live with. I did not

make the connection with my diet. I thought for sure I just did not have the

right combination of supplements. All the while I went to 1 seminar after

another looking for answers. I tried many things but it was in vain........I

felt my body dying. I had all the other cancers during the following 8 years.

Many times, I wanted to give up. The fight was hard and I had 4 children to

raise, train and homeschool.

Our second child developed lymphoma at 5 years old. I had to make decisions then

and my husband and I decided to go to American Biologics in Tijuana at that

time. They did not accept children but made an exception for us....I had

cervical cancer (just overcame ovarian and breast cancer) and Val was fighting

hard. We both came back healed! was biopsied down there and they found

no cancer. Never mind that social services were after us here in Colorado and

Children's Hospital was aggressively calling us and making threats. I went from

a stage IV to nothing! The amazing thing I learned by being in Mexico is that

nobody taught us on diet! I came back here to my vegan diet and continued to

fight this brain tumor with no success. Very discouraging!

The day I chose to eat a little chicken, I was so scared! I thought I was going

to die doing it.......It turns out that as an A2 blood-type I needed a little

meat to give my body some strength. I always looked at my body as a blood type A

so a true vegetarian. So when I ate a little chicken and fish, my muscles filled

up a little, strength started coming back to me and I chose to enter a

bodybuilding contest! It was a great experience. This was 12 years into my

battle. The tumor shrunk on all those protein drinks and I had so much more

energy.......I started asking lots of questions as to why things were turning

out the way they did. It was not until I did the whole training with Bill

Wolcott up to Level two that I understood the principles on how to make your

body alkaline. For me, I am a carb type and my body tends to be too alkaline all

the time! I still grew cancer being overly alkaline! Eating a little meat helped

me bring my body to a neutral level and then fight! That literally changed my

life.

So the brain tumor finally left after 17 years and lots of tears and lots of

work. The same month, my husband in his early 40s was diagnosed with pulmonary

embolism (both lungs) - 80% clots in one lung and 25% in the other. Another

volatile situation to deal with and lots of stress for me. God allowed for

to make it through and I am grateful. A few weeks later, we found out by

accident that our Nicolas (then 16 years old) had a bone tumor on his leg! Those

are never good. We were able to stabilize Nic with a metabolic typing diet (he

was the opposite type of me, needed lots of protein and did not get much), no

sugar and Cantron + Black Salve. Nic recovered in 1.5 years.....He also gained

lots of self-control and lots of respect from his siblings and his Dad! I am so

proud of him. With Nic, I learned that the metabolic typing diet once again made

all the difference except for Nic, it was quick. I was too scared to do it

because I had heard that us cancer people need to go vegan. By the time Nic was

afflicted, I had worked that out of me and he healed well.

I am telling you this because I realized that primarily food is the foundation.

As far as supplements, all of us will have a story to tell. For some, a

supplement will help for part of the way and then our immune system will

outsmart it and we have to change course. In my experience, the Budwig protocol

is a great one but when the healing does not manifest after 3-4 months (at least

some healing), then you need to ask questions. Your life depends on it. You need

to consider another tool to help.

When and I talked, I told her to consider taking a food allergy test to

see if she was allergic to something she was eating. At first, she was not too

trusting.....I know, so many try to sell us things.....it was not my intent,

never has been and quickly saw that but until we talked, I could not

really convince her too much. She is closely working with and he is

doing a fabulous job with her situation. I could not ask for a better person to

be helping her. If I had to do it again, I would go to . I am not sure

how many he has helped with brain tumors and mine has gone (thankfully) and for

me, the crisis has passed. For , the crisis is here. She is learning by

leaps and bounds (I'm so proud of her) and she is working 24 hours to do

everything she possibly can to face that monster with everything she has. I am

there to teach her what I have learned so far on my journey (as a functional

diagnostic nutritionist but more importantly a fellow survivor). was

typed as a meat eater. Oh, that did not mean that I told her to just gorge on

it. But, her protein requirements are higher than for me. She and I had to work

hard at figuring out what would work for her and her weak digestion right now. I

am teaching her to listen to her body. That is no small skill to learn. She half

laughed/mocked me when I told her that the first time. She is not doing that

anymore. Everyday, she is noticing something about herself and her body she had

not realized before. Your body talks! is learning this.

Will she hit the bulls-eye with this holistic path? We all know she has a great

chance. I KNOW that is doing all he can and monitoring her very closely.

I KNOW that is studying every jot and tittle I send her way. The rest is

in G-d's hands. is fine with that and I am too. Not an easy position but

a real one. The disease has progressed for on the Budwig. I know her and

I can tell you she gave it her 150% while on the diet. It is her personality -

very thorough gal.......She was allergic to cottage cheese! That was the first

question I had for her and the first one answered on that food allergy test. For

, it is life or death and cottage cheese was killing her!

I AM NOT SAYING IT KILLS ANYONE ELSE!

Again, Budwig has been a blessing and all I can say is for people that are not

as comprehensive in their nutrition plan just lucked-out not being allergic to

cottage cheese for flax. Bravo for them but now after all these years and close

calls, I prefer a comprehensive plan and investigation of my body before I make

my plan of attack and that is how I approach everyone that comes to me.

can tell you that I am comprehensive much to her chagrin at times because we

have had to wait.......but that is how I dealt with my body, my husband's body,

our children's bodies and it is how I treat anyone else. These shot-gun

approaches for treating cancer do work for some people, for me though it never

did. I had to learn all these skills before my puzzle was solved.

I have had no cancer re-occurrence since 1995.

I think I have learned a thing or two and still am learning...............there

is so much more out there.

We have G., Joe, Mike, Ar, Dr Loretta, etc. There are many willing to

share and teach and encourage.

I am thankful for everyone that gave me hope over the years (I am thinking of

the last trauma with my husband on his deathbed with pulmonary embolism) and I

want to encourage everyone to learn from each other. This place has a wealth of

information - basically a goldmine!

off!

Jim, as a nutritional consultant, I've seen that just about every diet

on the planet can work but none of them work as effectively if you

start mixing and matching them (and not all are healthy by a long shot!).

The very first cancer book I ever read was the Breuss Cancer Cure.

It's a six week fast and no protein or sugar is consumed. If even one

cheat takes place, the diet will not work. The common recurring theme

amongst the therapies is always, no animal products, except for Budwig

of course which works in a different manner. Gerson used to use liver

which is now so polluted from the environment that they pulled it from

the therapy.

In the documentary Healing Cancer from the Inside Out there are loads

and loads of studies and quotes mentioned to prove the no meat/dairy

viewpoint and the producer basically says at the end that dairy and

meat act as fertilizer for cancer while environmental toxins are the

seed. Therefore removing the toxins has to be the number one priority.

In the film he also shows how statistics are manipulated and doing

NOTHING results in pretty much the same or sometimes better outcome

than chemo.

I'm not 100% vegan myself but if I ever got cancer I would not touch

meat or dairy and I would immediately switch to a 100% raw vegan

organic diet of smoothies and juices. Cousens is right on

this one. Dairy is not a clean product. It actually contains highly

addictive substances. You never see a calf rejecting milk do you?

One thing I really like about Cousens is that he is rabid

about testing. He doesn't experiment without testing everything. The

guy has a very sharp mind and good intentions and very few people can

drop down and to a few hundred push-ups without skipping a beat. Raw

vegan works for health and he's living proof.

I would suggest reading the Bruess Cancer Cure. I'm not suggesting

that you do the diet but just read it for the information about

protein. This is a pretty old diet and these days people are way more

toxic so there's a danger of overloading the body with toxins since

fat loss will occur. This is not a do-it-yourself job, but needs to

be done in a supervised environment.

Personally I wouldn't use whey in the later stages of cancer but

combined with a raw vegan diet in the early stages of cancer, it could

be very effective to clean up the body and help the liver to not get

over-burdened.

Just my two cents!
