Guest guest
Heya Everyone ) I hope you dont mind me 'intruding' in on you all like this but as I was doing some more research through the Internet, I came across this group which I assume is some type of Support Group to be there for everyone who has Gallstones, am I correct? ) I dont really know what to say here but have read a few comments you have done recently and found them really interesting and can relate to some of it so I will just tell you all a little about myself and go from there I guess.. ) My name is and im 23 years old from New Zealand. I have had Gallstones for 2 years now and has been more smooth-sailing for me rather than rocky like most of you seem to be experiencing which saddens me. I was admitted into hospital back in August 2000 with excruciating pain on my right side and also lung problems and at first the doctors didnt know what was wrong with me apart from the fact that I was screaming the A & E down in extreme pain and finally got jabbed with a high dose of Morphiene which seem to ease the pain slightly and ended up staying in hospital for 5 days as I couldnt walk, eat, drink, lay on my back, couldnt go toilet or lift my head up, was vomiting all the time(every 30mins pretty much) etc. During my stay after multiple tests they requested an ultrasound after having C.A.T scans and it was picked up that I had lots of small gallstones in my gallbladder and during this time of not knowing I had these 'disease' my gallbladder shrunk and become badly diseased. This was half the reason for the pain but other half was due to my Pnemonia that I was also diagnosed with. I have been able to eat and drink ANYTHING apart from some take-out foods which are covered with oils etc as that is the only time I get in pain other than that I am fine considering. I have had a sudden weight loss though which I am actually so THANKFUL for. I used to be 205 pounds and am now 175 pounds which is apperently due to my Gallstones so in a way its good to have this and the surgeon and myself hope I can keep the weight off as I feel so much better about myself. ) I saw my surgeon Wednesday just gone(5 days ago) for my last pre- operation appointment and after all this waiting, he said I am scheduled to have my operation (Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy) which im sure you all know too well about that hehe in 2 months time (Novemeber) to take out the gallstones and gallbladder. I am absolutly thrilled with this as I have unable to work and was put on the sickness welfare which I hate but working put way too much strain onto my gallstones so I was left with no choice but stop working. I was a little tender/sore after he finished touching and prodding around my tummy to see how things feel in my gallbladder and he seemed happy which I was relieved to see. I am on a drug called Tramol to help ease the pain that I occasionally get as at first I was one Codiene but it did NOTHING for the pain so he changed me to this one which is apperently a high drug that shouldnt really be out of the hospital but I have been careful not to get addicted etc. Umm okay well ill leave it as that for now and hope you all dont mind me becoming a regular here to chat about a problem we all have in common. Sorry this was so long but thought id blurt it all out now rather than later. Look foward to becoming friends with you all and have some good chats. Keep smiling Take care xoxo )
Guest guest
Hi , I am 31 and just started having GB stone symptoms 6 months ago. The ultrasound test showed none. I did the liver flush anyway, and I passed MANY green stones of all sizes. Since the flush, I can eat again! I have done a test and can eat fries and pizza with no problem. I am planning on doing another flush very soon, and am changing my diet for ever. Have you considered a flush? I did a combo of the Dr. Cabots with the " are you stoned " flush recipe off of curezone.com. I say a combo, because I could only drink 11 oz. of olive oil (not the whole pint) and took more lemon juice than the " stoned " one said. From what I have read and experienced, I don't think a flush can hurt you any. Good luck, Jenn > Heya Everyone ) > > I hope you dont mind me 'intruding' in on you all like this but as I > was doing some more research through the Internet, I came across this > group which I assume is some type of Support Group to be there for > everyone who has Gallstones, am I correct? ) > > I dont really know what to say here but have read a few comments you > have done recently and found them really interesting and can relate > to some of it so I will just tell you all a little about myself and > go from there I guess.. ) > > My name is and im 23 years old from New Zealand.
