Guest guest
I suppose I could have been reacting to the soy sauce, but I also had olive oil too. I get my soy sauce from an oriental grocer which sells lots of Chinese and Indian foods and ingredients. The label is in Chinese but it does have English translation too. The ingredients are " water, soy bean, wheat flour, salt and sugar " . But the websites you mentioned did say that soy sauce could have hidden MSG. So it could be true that it has MSG, but I have never reacted to MSG before. I have had lots of (greasy American version of)Chinese food loaded with MSG and never had a flinch of an attack. Not until my stress levels reached 11 on a scale from 1 to 10 did I get my first attack 6 weeks ago. The only other attacks I have had were within a few weeks of having each of my children, then went into remission for years. As far as Dr. Cabots book " The Liver Cleansing Diet " I would recommend it. I got mine from my library. She also has a newer book called " The Healthy Liver and Bowel " book which I have only glanced at so far. It seems to have more recipes and be a little better organized than the first book and perhaps more up to date. I hope that is helpful.
