Guest guest
O.K. The tumors haven't grown (at least according to my doc there are no-to-small changes). But the tumors haven't shrunk either, so I have to now buckle down and be 100% strict on diet, exercise, cleansing and attitude. In putting my new protocol together. I want to follow a nearly 100% raw foods diet (if you add supplements, you can't consider yourself 100% raw), carefully choosing my supplements. Supplements have become a problem to swallow as I have the problem of choking on water, so I have had to carefully select the most important ones. All the research points to low-fat, low-protein and low-sugar for cancer survivors. On a raw foods diet, fruits are often center stage. Dr. Cousens and Dr. O. Young both advocate cleaning up the internal environment. They say no fruits for at least the first three months until you clean up your system and alkalize it. They say fruits (other then the ones they recommend) are acidifying. The only fruits allowed are lemons, limes, tomatoes, avocados and coconut pulp from young virgin coconuts (Young allows you to have the coconut water as well). The problem becomes when you don't eat fruit and you're not supposed to eat high protein or fat, which is contained in nuts and seeds and avocados, that leaves green juice as amore then 50% of my daily calories in order to keep down the fat, protein and sugar content. Most raw food recipes are not good for cancer survivors. They contain high-sugar, high-fat and high-protein. You have to be creative to make it work. Even The recipes from Young and Cousens are extremely high in fat. Estrogen is stored in fat and fatty foods clog up the bloodstream, making it sticky and the estrogen can't get out. Young says to never eat fermented foods again. Cousens allows them after Phase I. Both Young and Cousens say to stay away from corn, cashews, mushrooms and stored grains. I read on the internet last night that corn can promote cancer. I saw it on You Tube. I have calculated the calories needed to maintain my weight of 124 pounds and it comes to about 2,040 calories a day, since I am involved in heavy exercise. The cancer " experts " suggest keeping fat down to 10 - 12% of overall calories, but this is very difficult to do on a raw diet and still get the needed calories. Here is my daily proposed diet (with allowance to eat out once a week at a raw food restaurant): 1150 calories - 64 ounces (2 quarts) green drink 8.0 grams fat (spinach, celery, kale, tomato, cucumber, red bell pepper or rhubarb, ginger, lemon or lime---all organic produce) Approx 32 grams protein 140 calories - 1 raw young virgin coconut 3 grams fat (coconut mylk shake) 214 calories sprouted wheat/rye or spelt (1 cup) 8.1 protein 1.4 grams fat (dehydrated crackers) 82 sprouted lentils (1 cup) 6.9 protein .4 grams fat ( in salad) 154 sprouted peas (1 cup) 10 protein .8 grams fat (in salad) 70 Sprouted Chia seeds (2 T) Omega 3's 4.5 grams fat 3 grams protein 15 tomato (1 medium) 1.5 protein - 4.9 grams sugar (in salad) 34 kale (1 cup) 2.2 grams protein .5 grams fat (raw wilted kale salad)---cruciferous vegies cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts 25 raw salad greens 10 seaweeds 30 calories Unprocessed wheat bran 1/4 cup (the best for getting out excess estrogen) 80 avocado (1/4) 7.5 grams fat (in salad) Total Calories: 2,000 Total Fat: 26.1 grams fat x 9 calories per gram = 235 calories of fat (A little less then 12% fat of total calories) Total Protein: 70+ grams ( I don't know how to keep down protein---protein in in all green vegetables) Supplements: (www.iherb.com) Garden of Life Raw Vitamins Garden of Life Raw B-Vitamins Resveratrol Forte Indole Guard (DIM) Probiotics (organic papaya puree, organic noni, yucca schidijera) - zero grams of sugar Gilliam's Organic absorbable magnesium Gilliam's Organic ionic minerals Gilliam's Cell rejuvenator (msm, vitamin c, lemon bioflavonoids, zinc) Chrysin 500 Flavone X (passionflower to remove excess estrogen) Calcium D-Glucarate Vitamin D-3 Alpha-lipoic Acid
