Guest guest
Heya Everyone ) After having a thorough read through different posts in regards to Gallstones/Gallbladder, It has left me with some HUGE amounts of doubts about having this Surgery to remove my Gallbladder and stones in 6 days time. I never knew there were other options to avoid the operation to remove the gb as the surgeon/doctor never told me which I now find rather unfair of him. I asked him of options and said that the only option I have to be somewhat pain-free and back to a normal lifestyle was to have the operation and well obviously I was fine with that until now because I didnt know of flushes and other options. Rather annoyed now to say the least... I would really appreciate if people out there in this support group help to relieve some of this doubt and also answer some questions if you all can. Look below..thanks. 1. Is it common to affect most or all people to have the runs after having the gb removed?? 2. Are the runs as bad as what people are making them out to be here?? 3. What are the other options I could take into consideration?? (maybe too late now since im off to the Pre-Admission appt tomorrow and YES more questions will be asked now) 4. With having the runs does it still cause on-going weightloss since you are unable to keep anything inside of you for too long before it is coming back out again?? (sorry if that sounds a little yuck!) 5. Are you in much pain once the gb is taken out and if so how much and is there any difficulites that I could experience after my surgery?? 6. This gasing of the stomach, does it cause much discomfort once you have awoken from the surgery like does it give you more gas both ends or just pain??? 7. I know we can live without a gb even though it can cause complications etc but wouldnt you all prefer to have this out to stop the pain or just put up with it?? I would prefer to have the gb out..it would be crazy not too. correct? **I think that is about it for now question wise and would love to hear your thoughts, suggestions. comments and answers etc before I go for my surgery** THANKS HEAPS!!!
